2 division games in this stretch. If we can keep pace there we might just dodge a bullet.

MRI revealed Ben Roethlisberger did not tear his ACL, but he sprained his MCL and now is expected to miss "probably 6 weeks," per source.

    SO SAYS SCHEFTER

I think he's in the corner of some room in the fetal position, chanting why Ben, why? Why Ben, why?

Man I hope Schefter is wrong. I don't like him so I'm gonna believe Jason instead. LOL.

Man if we can somehow win 3 of the next 4 maybe we can get him to the bye week and he will be 100%. I would hate to rush him back and tear it
I know the bye ain't till week 11 but it would be nice

Sounds like 4-6 weeks. MCL sprain w/a bone bruise.

There may have been some sobbing in there, too. It's a bit hazy.

Ok, 4-6 weeks is much better than I expected when I saw the hit. We can survive that, but the defense needs to grow up in a hurry. At least Vick, or Landry or whoever will have the league's best weapons to work with.

An MCL sprain, provided it's grade 2 or less, is probably the best case scenario. With the right treatment and rehab, Ben could be ready in 3-4 weeks. I just hope it isn't 6 weeks. Our season might be too far gone by then. 4 of our next 6 opponents were going to be tough to beat WITH Ben. Without him? The odds aren't good.

And the other 2 opponents are no pushovers either.

So does this mean the original diagnosis of that former DR today was actually correct? Wasn't this what he basically said?

Yes. He made a good call. Assuming, that is, that the diagnosis being bandied about is official (MRI and all).

I believe so. My grandpa's watch said it was 1:00 twice today and it was right both times. It hasn't worked in years, though. :p

If you remember when he hurt his ankle, and played the 49ers.. I hope he doesn't do that. He'll be back soon!

LOL! That reminds me of my great papaw. He carried a pocket watch all the time and in the last year and half of his life he had to live with my mamaw and papaw and that watch was junk. His memory was also bad and the watch would need to be wound constantly and he would look at it every few minutes and ask my papaw what time it was and every, single, time he would say "9:20". Like 10 times a day. LOL!

    LOL That's awesome.

Choa wasn't far off, but he was also very vague.

I'm just glad it's not what WE all thought it was gonna be. I just wonder how this is gonna effect Real Steel's prophecies of doom and apocalyptic visions? Conundrum indeed.

I'll be worried when I see the thread titled "I've got a good feeling about this week!" That's when I'll start stocking up on toilet paper and making sure there's a good supply of canned goods.

My buddy that lives up north thinks it's hilarious too. What's funny is that most people down here say that. My wife's mamaw is from Indiana and wants to be called "grandma" and it drives me crazy because I'm always like "That's what yankees say!" LOL!

This time please wait the extra week or two before bringing him back. Don't rush it.

I've wondered when he would be like truly "better" ya know? I wonder if the diagnosis just means he can play then or that he will be back to 100% then?
