Just heard on 93.7 The Fan that the MRI will be tonite, also reports are there are no broken bones.
Ed Bouchette, the Steelers Insider, beat writer, also confirmed he will have the MRI.

Let's hope for the best Steeler Friends

If we get away with no ligament damage that would be HUGE! I don't even care if he misses Thursday.

As Ray Ray said to Bettis when he was sidelined one time "Hey Bettis - you tape up that groin and get the f____ in here!" Hoping Ben can rub some Ben Gay on it and get back in real soon.

I don't see how he doesn't have ligament damage. Best we can hope for is that the ACL was unaffected, and that he only misses 2-3 games.

I'm guessing he'll be out at least a month if it's MCL.

If its ACL, well, I'm going to start studying up on the draft early this year.

Looks like his foot slid on the turf and was not planted....that's a good thing.

If the latter do you think we go QB in the 1st round and cut Jones? And by doing that I mean sort of similar in GB when they drafted Rodgers and groomed him in. I like the idea of that because we then have someone to come in and not miss a beat after Ben retires.

If they finish poor enough and someone is there, I think theyd have to consider it. Would be another year off Bens time, plus coming off a major injury, let the guy sit behind him for a few years. Problem is, when you draft a QB in the first rd, they dont normally sit on the bench for 3 years.

It seems that the Steelers still think Landry is that guy so I doubt they'd use a high pick on a QB.

Same demonic turf that grabbed Fast Willie. That game was doomed from the get go with Dante's Inferno going ballistic and those God-awful indoor lights that made it look like an industrial fishery. What a horrid stadium and game. Lucky to escape witch mountain with a W.

From what I've been reading, some former NFL team doctor said on Twitter that it looked to him like an MCL injury, not ACL. For whatever it's worth. We can survive him being out a few weeks, but if he's out for the season Real Steel will look like Nostradamus the rest of the year.

Just got an ESPN alert saying that Ben will miss "at least 4 weeks." So, it may not be season-ending? Wow.

At least 4 weeks can still be season ending, it just means he won't be back next week, which we all knew already. Not sure how anyone can predict a timetable to return though without the MRI taking place. Nothing but speculation
