You claimed that all they needed was Brady even though they had more than 20 other new players. Your claim failed.

Im not going to go over all the numbers with you but suffice it to say Ben is top10 or 5 in yards, TDS, Pass Attempts, playoffs, and yes, even Super Bowls against all QBs IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME! Let that sink in. Not just when compared to Bradshaw against all of them! That’s names like Marino, Montana, Manning, Johnny U , The Blond Bomber, Elway, and yes even Brady. Ben is up there and even over many of them n various stats.

And the big difference between Ben and Bradshaw is NOT what either did in the big games They both won. The big diff is a little thing called Free Agency. Sheesh

I don't understand this obsession with trying to downgrade other QB's just to elevate Ben.

Ben has had a ton of talent on this team over the years. Lets not pretend he has won games all on his own. He has had great defences and great WR's to throw to over the years, just like most other QB's who have the SB. It takes a team effort to win the championship.

The problem is that come playoff time, Ben just wasn't good enough most years. Way too many INT's. Against other top teams, that's not going to be good enough

I wonder if the AFCE thought their long nightmare was over when Brady left?

Saying he want better than certain guys doesn’t mean he isn’t a hall of famer. He’s not a slam dunk hall of famer but he will eventually get in.

Where are you getting 20. They didn’t have over 20 new key contributors. And yes I believe all they needed wa a Brady. Take away gronk, ab, and whoever else and they still win the sb last yr. Brady has won with far less talent than that bucs team that team was probably the most talented he ever had other than 07 minus these so called “20” new key contributors.

I'm chiming in late. But, if Tomlin can't get these guys prepared for a game of this level then ... this is proof in the pudding. Ben's last game, a win would secure Tomlin's no losing season, a possible playoff chance, and maybe a bright glimpse of him recovering the team again.

I agree, TB doesn’t win that SB if Brady doesn’t sign with them.

Hines Ward was SB XL MVP.

Santonio Holmes was SB XLIII MVP.

That last Steelers drive against the Cardinals should have been enough alone to give it to Ben. That was vintage Roethlisberger scrambling around and finding open receivers right down to that final incredible TD pass.

I agree. If Ben had hit Ward and Miller a few times and still made the throw to Holmes to win the game, as amazing as that play was, I think the voters give it to Ben for engineering the drive. As it was it was Holmes elevating his game on that final drive and that outshined Ben's leading that series to a score.

You can't argue that TB wasn't better in the big game. Two-time SB MVP. Never lost. Not a knock on Ben but there is a difference in that specific area. Ben played great in the 2005 playoffs but we practically won that SB in spite of his performance. Randle El threw the best pass in that game.

If you don't think Bradshaw played better in the big games, then I don't know what to tell you, Bradshaw could throw 3 ints in the Super Bowl then make enough big plays to win SB MVP (Rams).

But up until that point Ben hadn't really done anything. Not sure a guy should get MVP of a game for one drive

Ben is up there due to how often he's been in the playoffs. That's due to being part of a good team for a long time. Do you think brady would have any SB's if the Lions drafted him? Of course not. It takes a team.

But Ben's TD to.INT ratio in the playoffs is absolutely horrible. He simply hasn't been good enough in the playoffs.

So Holmes threw the ball 2 himself. I find it funny that No Wrs win regular season MVP...because....Well the Qb has 2 ....
    1. Take the snap
    2. Make a correct read
    3. Throw the ball 2 the WR....these are a few reasons Why.
Yet the most I every heard a Wr get talked about in regards 2 a regular season MVP was Ab....Yet for some reason nobody said....Well it's Ben throwing it 2 Him, or why when Ben has been out of the game Ab disappears.
Same reason Holmes got the MVP instead of Ben.
You say ....Well because Ben threw 2 Him so much on that drive, and I say Ben threw Him 2 tds on that drive , and He caught the hardest one.
You , Me, and Everyone knows if that was any other Qb....they get the MVP. Especially for a game winning drive like that.

Don't get wrong I'm in total agreement with you I'm just saying that if the final drive contained a variety of receivers getting the ball and the final throw to Holmes to win the game Ben has his MVP and ....I was going to say something but it's not important.

One thing I'm not going to miss is all this "Ben" man love. Some of you are obsessed with the guy. If anybody criticizes him, you all act like they disrespected your wife or something! The Steelers were my team before Ben and they'll be my team after Ben. Some seem to think he IS the Steelers.

Ben earned the MVP award in the Super Bowl just for this final TD drive and TD pass against Arizona. like STD said. He's the guy who gets the play-call, gives the command, has to catch the snap, make the right reed, have to deal with the pressure of the defense, the pressure of the moment. In the knowledge that this possible last throw in a very tiny windows and triple coverage has to sit. Holmes did a great catch and he got both feets inbounds. But nothing more.

The last drive is all about holmes? You guy act like Big Ben did it a never again. He did it all over his career with a variety of different WR onehundred times. One minute left. Fine. Big Ben drove down the field and clinch the win in the last second.

I don´t understand why some of u guys cant accept his brilliance. Everytime u come up with the ******** stats. Ben was never perfect. The moments that he outplayed his opponent before 4th Quarter started a very rare. But he was a genius when he extended the plays. In these cases there was no longer a scripted play. Then it always gone wild and he showed us his natural Football Instinct. Of course he needed WRs which are on the same page. But as i said. Its all about the QB :)

And i have to disagree Juneburg. We´re don´t obsessed about this guy. We are obsessed about the Pittsburgh Steelers, and thats why i love Ben. He wasn´t perfect but a warrior and showed us all what it means to be a steeler.
he was a great representative of the steelers nation.

At least. Can you imagine Tom Brady running onto the field again at the next snap with a broken nose, broken foot, cracked ribs or shredded knees. I dont. I think he would cry in Gisele's arms. And so is Ben the GOAT for me

I believe it's maybe like Me . I seen many a Great teams between Ben , and Bradshaw, and not a SB win in the bunch. Some of those teams were really really good, and Yet not a Qb 2 help get over that hump.
