You know that's why I don't like Qbr ....make this make sense 2 me.....Peyton Manning had a int, a fumble ,and No tds passing, or throwing but somehow He had a Better QBR than Ben??? At least Ben ran for a score.
Also what you fail to mention in the Cardinals game is S. Holmes dropped a way easier Td pass 2 Him a couple plays before He caught that remarkable catch. So basically Ben had 2 throw 2 Tds for Him 2 get 1.
Also I was told You can't compare yesterday's players with Today's. Otherwise Ben has a more Tds,and a better TD- ints rate in the playoffs than Bradshaw, and many other elite Qbs.
    Read way above.

Fans will show him love when he comes out onto the field. Any reaction after that is purely up to Ben.

I thought the Steelers the year Rodgers won it had the #1 ranked defense?

No Sacks or INT's in either Superbowl I believe. Maybe not even any tackles for loss? Not saying he played bad, but I'm just saying stats don't tell whole story.

Injuries killed us. If Steelers were healthy I think we win that game. Easy.

Talent-wise rodgers is the better player, he is magic, a genius. I like him and his play very much and i ´ll be the happiest man on earth if he will be Bens successor. But for me, behind the talent, Ben have something, something more which the stat champion doesn´t have. The will, the madness? Call it the X-Factor, i don´t know. He is a human with failors. Did he wasted his talent often? Was he lazy in some years and missed opportunities to be much more succesfully as he is. Yes for sure, he did. Anyway, both Quarterbacks are two of the greatest in this game.

The stats (QBR, TD/INt.ratio, PPG etc) are nice, interesting for fantasy football and pro bowl votes. But they doesn´t count. I count the rings on Bens hand and he have more then other great QBs. That´s what matters. And I'm sure without the ******* cheaters he would have one if not two rings more on his hand. Both, like every other one need good defenses for a super bowl run. Its a team sport. More often then less u need the best Defense in this game for a shot at the super bowl trophy. But at the very end, it depends on the greatness of the QB. It all stands or falls with the man under center. No QB in history or the future gets the super bowl trophy servede on a silver platter by a great defense or great teammates.

Otherwise Blake Bortles and Jameis Winston have to be Super Bowl Champions as well. And otherwise Mac Jones or Terry Bridgewater have to be the next one. I don´t think so J

And did u check the time of posession in all of those games above? maybe it wasn't the defense but the game managing skills of the quarterback. Perhaps the opponents only had 5 minutes time of posession. Than sounds 19.6/16.2/14.7 ppg for a very bad defense to me ;-)

OK so it's strictly the Shaquille ONeal argument of "look at the rings"?

So when Ben went 9/21 for 123 yards and 2 INT but won Super Bowl XL that performance made him better than Rodgers because Rodgers has 1 ring?

The Steelers outscored the Seahawks based on a 75 yard run from Willie Parker and a WR pass from ARE to Hines ; but it's Ben who deserves credit for handing the ball off better than anyone ever has? NFL championships on a 46 man roster are an individual award for QBs?

Ben will be glad to hear that because he doesn't have any MVPs, All-Pros, Offensive Player awards that historically might have been used to compare QBs.

Yes of course. Or do u want to tell me now lamar is a greater QB than Ben due to the MVP vote? C'mmon... What did the MVP in his Conf Final he is nothing then a RB and in a few years he will retire and nothing won. But, he is a MVP... Wow... So good night every one

Edit: i have to correct me. Divison finals. He never have been and will be in a conf final

Why are You comparing a 2nd Year player 2 a player in His 2nd year was riding the pine.
Also with the same terminology....Rodgers won because our Rb fumbles on our way in taking the game over. Sounds dumb huh???? Because You can't say it like that. We Lost Rodgers won....Period.
Just Like Ben Won against Seattle, and Cardinals...Period.
Also Ben Has taken them 2 three SB. Rodgers has taken His 2 one. Big Difference. I don't want 2 Hear about the team. B. Favre took the Packers 2. two SB. Why because sometimes You have 2 be a risk taker and Favre was one.(Whereas I've Heard Packers fans say A. Rodgers is more worried about His Td- int ratings than winning. It's Why He has lead the league many times in throwaways)If SBs don't matter.... why play playoffs, and SB games. Yes I would say that a Guy taking His team 3 time 2 the SB with Different Head Coaches, Rbs, Wrs, and even different OCs would count against a Qb that has only been one time.
    Call Me crazy.

I mean if SBs don't matter...Why is everyone B!+<hing about us not being good enough 2 get 2 one. We Should just worry about regular season stats.

They lost 2 of their starting WR's in that game. Plus their receivers dropped several passes.

We got lucky to even be in that game. If you can, go back and watch it again. They were the far better team.

Maybe that night, Steelers defense and offense offensive line had injuries, Steelers were fading down the stretch. I think at our best that year we win. Just not hot at the right time.

Yeah, definitely the end of an era.

When I think that I was still in my 20's when Ben was drafted, it's pretty crazy. Being in my mid 40's now. That seems like a 100 years ago.

Like when I was a kid, it was weird when Reagan wasn't President anymore.

It could be till my 60's before we get another star QB. Prepare boys.

Just taking my time to reflect. It's been a hell of a ride. He became the QB the year before I enlisted in the Navy. He's practically been the QB my entire adult life. I'm thinking he's riding into the sunset. Regardless of how critical I've been of him these past 2 years, I'm thankful of his time in Pittsburgh.

I've been to a game per year since Bens 3rd year or so and I've only seen him like 1/2 the time whether it was due to injury or suspension. I've seen Vick, leftwich, jones, mason, batch over the years. Ben has spoiled a lot of us.

I'm extremely happy I went to the mnf game vs the bears and witnessed a game winning drive from Ben. He got the loudest cheer during intros and I joked to my friend that's the fastest hes going to run all night and it was.

Early on in his career I was always hesitent to go all in on him because he held the ball too long, took too many risks, played playground ball, etc. After a while I stopped caring and thought ben will be ben...its not pretty but he just wins. Say what u want about this year and if it is indeed his final year i hope they can get 1 final home mnf win for him.

Jackson does not have more MVPs than Favre, Rodgers, Brady, Manning, Young, Mahomes etc.

Why do you think Ben didn't get an MVP? Why do you think he never got one MVP vote?

"You cannot win a Super Bowl without an elite QB." - Trent Dilfer

"The QB is everything. It is the only position that matters in winning a Super Bowl." - Doug Williams

"Just cut the other guys. I'll go win this by myself." - Brad Johnson

Super Bowls are team awards. MVP are individual awards.

Roethlisberger was the least used QB in the NFL in 2005. Steelers had 379 pass attempts- dead last.

    First in rush attempts.

The defense held opposing teams to 18 or fewer points in every playoff game- the defense deserves the bulk of the credit.

When you're putting Ben in the GOAT category he is up against Montana, Brady, Starr, Rodgers and Graham not Lamar Jackson.

puh... for you its all about the stats and awards. Okay, fine, i get it. For me its all about winning. Do you know who votes the MVP and knowing the process? Nothing to say more about.

The first ballot hof award is a very individual award, right? If Ben wears this jacket in the future you have to explain to me how this could happen. A man without any awards in his career. Also, in your logic how can u pay TJ so much Dollar, a man without any individual awards? He sucks.

Of course football is a team sport. But as i mentioned above, at the very end it depends all on the men under center. He is the master piece and reason for victory or no victory. And again, otherwise Jameis Winston have to be a SB Champ too. He had the pretty same coaching staff, pretty same great offense and defense like the "goat". And he sucked and so does this team. I never play this game and just watched it for 20 Years. I dont have the analytics like u guys. But i´m pretty sure, with Maddox under Center in 2005 and 2008 we wouldnt talk about no. 7. We wouldnt even talk about no. 6. I dont have to show u why Big Ben is the reason we won this finals. Cause for you, its all about stats and awards. Fine, i can live with this.

And apart from that, this thread is not about discussing who the goat is, but about Ben's last home game. He is the reason why i falling in love for this game and he deserves a big Win. And as i mentioned in another thread, i hope for a big Win on Monday night for some other reasons. .-) HERE WE GO
