That we allowed this pathetic team to beat us in our house. Tired of seeing this steelers team under achieve to lesser appoints. Richie Cunningham is a joke.

I'm not upset anymore, I mean yeah, it stings that its playoff weekend and we aren't in it but I've accepted the fact that we just weren't very good this year, and with all the injuries, we never would have made it past the first round had we got in.

Totally. We weren't going to make any noise at all. Who cares if we are one (or two) and done. If we aren't a legitimate contender, then I want good draft picks so that we can be. You see where picking at the end of the order has gotten us lately.

Bengals are not a pathetic team, over the 2nd half of the season they had the best defense in the NFL. And the Steelers lost to them...that is the reality of it.

As I watched that game both teams proved to me how slow the Steelers have become on defense.... the youth movement definitely needs to happen next year.

Pathetic they may be,but they won 2 more games than the Steelers and won the play in game against them to get to the playoffs.

I don't think they are pathetic at all. I really like their D. Dalton may not be the answer but I don't think he's bad. Good OL and AJ Green. They could be the the team to contend with in the AFCN. These aren't your fathers Bungles.

I disagree about their OL. Dalton got sacked 46 times this year, and their OL got shoved around by lowly Philadelphia. They did not score an offensive TD in their win over the Steelers. Lewis is a huge mediocrity as a HC, but is being bailed out by good coordinators. I would love it if some team took Mike Zimmer away to be their coach, as I feel this would greatly damage the Bengals.

Could you imagine Gino Atkins/JJ Watt in the black and gold ?
Or Arian Foster? People, THESE ARE THE TYPE OF PLAYERS
WE NEED. Quick question? Why isn't Mike Zimmer being considered
for a HC position. The Nfl just keeps rehashing these old coaches
that are washed up. Why don't people like Zimmer get a chance?

Zimmer will be in the mix. He just wasn't going to hop onto a plane and interview with another team while prepping his D for a playoff game. He will get some interviews this week. You can be sure of that.

I see Chicago and Philly as good fits for him. In an unrelated aside, how is Mike Mularkey still keeping his job in Jacksonville?

Did anyone really think that the Bungles would win? Common.

Just wasn't our year. Ben's injury was to much to overcome.

Now lets see a Crows loss to the Colts! Ray Rays last game he goes out a loser :applaud: Great player, but a hated enemy.

And see the regular season wonder Manning get beat by his old team in his new digs. Now that would be great!

And the Pats getting eliminated. No way I want to see them win another Bowl. Ever!

Oh, and SF. Eliminate them as well. Keep them at 5.

The Bengals always play the Steelers like it's their Superbowl and the Steelers treat every opponent the same.

I knew Houston was the better team and my gut was telling me they would win but I went with Cincy because Houston had been playing poorly and Bengals had been on a roll, although thinking about it, they never should have beat us had our offense done anything. Should have known they'd lose, its the bungles! :bsux:

This season was a write off I'm not upset. They did us a favor, you really think this Pitts team had a chance against NE or Denver?, ( especially after losing Miller) Cinci saved us from another embarrassing early exit.

I don't see Marvin Lewis or Zimmerman with the team next year, Zimmerman to Chicago as head cheese and Lewis either with ESPN or a D Coordinator somewhere. He was our linebacker coach in 1992 and led the Ravens to the a Super Bowl win in 2000 as their Defensive Coach. He has been with the Bengals and has had a couple splash playoff appearances. I expect him to be fired.

why would it make you pissed?

the Bengals were a better team than the Steelers and thats why they won. they won 7 of their last 8. the Steelers lost 5 of thier last 7. they did not belong in the playoffs.

wh would Lewis leave? he has taken them to the playoffs pretty consistantly lately. thats unheard of for the Bengals. hes not going anywhere and Zimmerman has been a pretty good dcordinator for awhile and he never gets a bite.

The Bangles have been to the playoffs 3 times since 1991... and they haven't won one game. Not sure what value you see in Lewis.

As long as Lewis is under contract, he won't be fired. They've had opportunities before, but Mike Brown did not want to fire him with years remaining on his deal, because he is too cheap to pay someone who is not working for him. Then, they made the playoffs, and his job was kept alive.

I don't expect him to be fired, he's brought the team to the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years. He has coached them for 10 years now, and has a very mediocre 79–84–1 record including the post season. I don't think there is another NFL franchise in this era who would keep a coach that long with an overall losing record. Add to that the off the field antics of some of his players over the years, and his often dubious coaching decisions (see the last Steeler game for evidence)- and I'll make the argument to you that there has never been as bad a head coach who has coached his team for 10 years or more.
