Mike Tomlin once again shows hes an idiot in general. And a terrible time manager. I could have sworn I saw him mouthing to the refs "Who am I going to call?" for the timeout ****. Thats why good coaches tell their players to call timeouts, and know in advance that they are going to need to call a time out, and prepare for it. Run out onto the damn field if you have to. Or be an idiot like Mike Tomlin, and don't do your job right.

 

Well, defense has to tighten up, offense has to keep on keeping on.

 

Because it was 2nd and they had a timeout. Watch the previous redzone drive. Cincy was dropping everybody in coverage. Draw up the middle might catch them. I think that's why Cincy took a timeout to tell everyone.

Tomlin needs to be next to the ref yelling timeout and Ben running up to call it too.

I guess we all have to accept the fact that red zone offense is never going to get better. Even when our guys get open and separate, we drop the pass. I guess it's better to play it safe and take the 3 points.
Usually that is ok, but today our defense hasn't been on top of things. Hopefully, we make some halftime adjustments.

 

So yeah watching the first half highlights the Bengals are using scheme to get their skill players open. Using that spread look to force the nickel.

 

MT getting on Ben for not calling the TO I bet. Coach AND player should be looking to call the TO imo. HC cant go closer to the endzone than the 20 or 25 IIRC so refs may not be near.

 

Yeah but by that time Tomlin had turned back towards the sideline and Ben had kept going. I wondered if he was trying to let Ben have some space to cool down

Within the same vein, Tomlin's history of clock management is not very good.

I'm not sure who Bell stiff armed on that great run but that guy is going to be really embarrassed watching the game film on Monday. I would think he will try and crawl under his chair.

 

I could use a solid win in this game to help ease the pain of @Ray D kicking my butt in fantasy today.

 

Good...somebody needs to get a fire lit underneath them and Tomlin won’t do it, so somebody like Ben should show emotion. Red zone just sucks and Ben or somebody needs to call that crap out.
