Well...Najee has publicly spoken out about his frustration with the offense and the lack of production and said he's "sick of this ****" too.

I wonder if he does get a Chuks-like benching because of it.

 

Can you imagine how both would play if we had an offensive line beyond Jones. For pete's sake we can't even set up a screen. We f it up every time!!

 

Warren has been the better back all season. It isn't just this week.

 

Well Harris had 13 touches and got 36 yards. Warren had 12 and got 145. Yeah, part of the issue is that Warren is massively out performing Harris. It IS however, the coaches fault for not recognizing that and making him the primary option.

 

I think he also is getting frustrated getting the ball and being met by 3 defenders behind the line of scrimmage. But for every time that happens he miss reads the hole dances or tries to bounce outside with no speed or runs right up the middle into his own guy. He would be great with Emmit Smith type offensive line holes but that ain't happening. If Warren blocked better Najee would see even less playing time!

 

Not directing this at anyone. Warren has been running well all season. That is true. You do not make that change though just because the ypc is better on limited snaps. There are other variables involved. Tomlin even said that Warren 'earned' the start this week. That should speak volumes for those that have been calling for this. Warren has not been good in pass protection. Warren has had fumbles in the past. These are things that had to improve before Tomlin would even consider a change.

I don't recall the blocking be any good on that second down run.

 

So maybe the play calling didn't reflect that Warren had the hot hand. For that, they are at fault but that's still close to 200 yards on the ground and at some point you have to expect your QB to make a play here and there. He did not. I don't know how much more clear this can be

 

It was inexcusable for Warren to have only 9 carries in this game and not in on that last series. That is on Canada and Tomlin and they need to switch roles with Warren getting more carries then Harris. This has been going on most of this year.

 

Totally agree. That's 3 weeks in a row where we run the ball well and can't find a way to throw the ball successfully.

 

The vibe I get from Harris is he feels he has already arrived and everyone should give him is flowers … he needs to take it!

So much for Najee Harris being the next Derrick Henry or Jerome Bettis or whatever.

 

Our QB and offense is awful. It’s like their in quick sand.
