    Is there a link?

To the bit about Ben's injury, not the bit about the season being over.

Worse case, yet survivable scenario, is going 2-3 over the next 6 weeks (with wins over the Browns and 1 of the Colts/Ravens).... putting us at 6-5 (with a strong division record) and with 6 games remaining against Giants, Bills, Ravens, Bengals, Browns.

We'd likely have to run the table in our 3 remaining AFC North games, and could split the Giants/Bills for a 10-6 season and likely division champs.

Ben's body is breaking down. Looks like the 10-year defensive rebuild will fall a little short.

Indeed for this. Our old AFC North foes do not look as formidable as they did in the past.

No need to panic yet. Have to see how well these games go before we pass judgement.

    Well.. as the old saying goes;

"Things have to get worse before they get better."

I suppose it is time to find out how well the players can uphold Tomlin's ethos.

Get healthy, make the playoffs... that's all that matters. I don't care who we beat, or who we lose to along the way... as long as we make the playoffs and are getting healthy/hitting our stride at the right time.

I can't work out whether Moats means that Landry is uber-laid back, or that he said it whilst trembling uncontrollably.

For the sake of my blood pressure, I'll go with the former.

I maybe in the minority but I wanted Ben to take the 4 weeks to heal as much as possible instead of rushing back

Getting old sucks. So IF, we go 2-2 over those 4 games we'd be 6-4 and still likely in the race to win our pathetic division. I'm not worried..... Landry show us the way. Also, from all reports I've heard, Landry is a really good guy, kinda guy you root for to be successful.

at least the division is looking pretty weak so far. might ruin our WC chances though if it comes down to that.

I'd like to think of it like 2005, when Ben missed a few games, came back, and we won the Super Bowl.. But, we had a legendary defense that carried the team. Obviously, this is not the same.

Obviously this is not ideal, but the only rosy side I can get from this is that it will give Landry much more real game experience, hopefully it will help him improve and grow as a NFL QB.

I will believe it when I see it, why would we come out and say Ben will be ready for the Ravens and give the Ravens a chance to prepare? If I were a coach I would make the Ravens wonder and prepare for Jones, or could this be one of them deals where Ben comes off the bench in that game??????????

Good Lord Billy B. making Landry sound like the second coming of Montana.

He must be taking pages of the Mike Tomlin playbook of press conferences.

    As Landry said: Don't panic.

Obviously, Mr. Jones reads this forum. :lolol:

I know it's strange for me to show optimism... but I think Ben is back after the bye. Just hope he's not too rusty for the Ravens.

Do you think we will beat the Browns twice? Did you just see us lose to Miami? Do you know the history of Steelers playing bad teams? Cleveland has been playing much better the last 2 or 3 weeks. I would NOT be shocked if the Browns get their first win against the Steelers..
