I dont think he is afraid to get hit, I think at this point in his career he doesn't want a Shazier type ending where there are what ifs. So for that reason he wants less under center exchanges where he can get stepped on and tripped up and more shotgun where he can see guys coming. He still is getting hits though which is why the approach isn't helpful.

If we don't have the drops then this is a very different game. You guys are clamoring for ben to stay in the pocket and throw it deep and stop with the short passes. Here's a novel idea for ya! If the receivers cant catch the 2 yard passes what makes you think they are gonna catch the deep bombs??

You guys are probably the same people that used to complain that ben held the ball to long and did not take what was given to him.

1 big hit and he is gone for his career .. Our OC doesnt know how to create mismatches or route trees to get guys open down field. We have a poor running game so no play action to open up windows..Things look really bad for this Team.. Dobbs should be the bu QB and he should have a short yardage package and a complete playbook for his style in case Ben goes down..Our OC is very very bad ..

Agree, bit I like to "why" something until a root cause is identified (or peel the onion back}. Why can't we run the ball?
Why can't we run the ball- runners have no lanes, holes to get through the LOS
Why is there no holes or lanes- because linemen are not able to beat their opponent
Why can't the OL beat their opponent- defense is situated close to the line and fill holes before lanes can get open
Why is the defense situated close to the LOS- because play calling is predictable allowing the defense to know what the play will be ( as they have stated )
Why is the play calling predictable- a potential root cause and others could be as well.
So, in my way of thinking, our offense is too predictable and doesn't put the players in good positions to be successful. Just look at the defensive alignment close to the line. Of course player execution has massive influence but when we can't get 1 yard on 4 plays, it may be both.
This just something I did and is opinion oriented and is overly simplistic but I'm retired and had nothing better to do to delay yardwork a little while longer..
