Ben Roethlisberger elite? Ha ha!

I mean, Elite Quarterbacks with a playoff spot on the line don't play like **** and lose to vastly inferior opponents. And don't give me that on the road divisional rival crap either. It shouldn't matter to elite quarterbacks....

And did I mention Cam lost to lowly Falcons in a, you guessed it, divisional game? They should bench Cam....

I CAN'T be the only person whose head this didn't go over! I mean...think about that...

 

I won't get into the elite debate, but what is with the bad INT's this year... its starting to get like the end of Favre's career, where they eventually become too much to overcome? Is Ben hurt or something?

 

He got his **** together by the end of the game today.. But, damn.. Those INTs will cost us games in the playoffs against better QBs who can take advantage. The picks deep in our own zone are killers in the postseason.

 

He has always had the occasional brain fart int. So does every other QB.

Man, with all the people saying they didn't want the Steelers to make the playoffs, I couldn't keep track of the good guys from the bad guys.

 

I get mad at Ben but Bradshaw used to make those same kinds of throws into coverage . He had a better defense to bail him out when he made mistakes.

 

I'd say even the mediocre Steeler D bailed out some of those throws (specifically today) and a few times this season. They're not the Steeler curtain, but they picked him up.

 

Rodney Harrison just called Ben the "best qb in the AFC right now". RODNEY. HARRISON!

 

To be fair and accurate, he said with playoff spot on the line. Brady and Wilson didn't have playoff spots on the line.

 

You're only as good as the team around you

 

It really depends on the OLine, but with decent OLine performance, usually an "elite" (or whatever term you want to use) doesn't implode. Look at Aikman 1-15 until his line got settled, then he won 3 SBs. Brady looked terrible (at least the highlights I've seen) but his OLine was terrible. Same in the SB vs the Giants.

I think overall Ben has been getting decent OLine play this year.
