Ben was short fused-venting if you will right after a game we should have won. Put yourself in his shoes, you know like the gameday thread here on the board  Yes as a professional he needed to save it for the monday meetings. But like a gun once triggered the damage is done!

    Gotcha. All good!

Some people are calling for total no-huddle, so I wanted to ask the question, in general.

I am in favor of more no-huddle. Ben usually can throw defenses off when used appropriately.

Oh definitely, the networks push for that, I'm sure the teams don't want them in there. The policy should be whatever the time frame is now but only for the winning team. The losing team should be given more time. Lets face it, most people are only interested in interviews for the winning team, I never have much interest in what the losing party has to say. Tell you the truth, just makes me uncomfortable, I'm like, leave him alone man, geeze.

I don't have time to read all the other posts about this, but Yahoo has a story about Ben apologizing to Haley, Tomlin and the Rooney's for his mouth.

Don't kill the messengers y'all...!!! Or the ones who NOW agree with Roethlisberger.

Ben may not be the sidelines leader you are looking for, but he doesn't throw his teammates under the bus. He'll go out and take the blame for a loss, like he did after the Superbowl. My point is we are talking about he and Haley instead of the rest of the offense.

I really don't think Ben was taking a shot at Haley there. Neither of them knew ahead of time that the Cowboys were going to drop into a prevent defense on that play (they disguised it well pre-snap). Ben was simply pointing out that the play-call wasn't designed to counter that particular coverage. Had either he or Haley had known ahead of time, a different play would have been called. Fortunately, Ben was able to improvise and find Heath for the touchdown.

A bad offensive play-call vs a particular defense happens all the time in football, and very often no one is to blame. Football play calling involves a lot of anticipation and pre-snap reads. No coordinator or qb does these things perfectly.

For clarity, Ben's remarks here (about the Cowboys dropping into a prevent defense) were in reference to the touchdown pass to Heath Miller. He wasn't describing the play that resulted in Brandon Carr's interception.

Ben shouldn't be blaming playcalling after throwing a int that cost his team the game.
