Is it me or is Ben looking pathetic this year, all his passes are high, deep ball out of sync, hes looking really slow,if its not for some pass interference calls and AB makjng some great catches,it may be early in the season but he looks pretty bad

He's slow and more importantly playing flat footed in the pocket. I'm writing this not knowing how this game will end. Don't care. He's not going to make it through the season. He'll get rolled before long.

He must have known more than we thought when he was floating the retirement talk around last year. He senses there isn't much left

He didn't exactly look good last year.

It's time to move on from him. He started out great his first five years. Yet he's been bad the last several.

Ya he has not looked good so far through 3 games. If the offense who had numerous chances late to win this game puts one drive together they win this game. The entire offense is out of sync and a complete mess now. Bell wants to rap about wanting 17 million a season when he has not done anything these first 3 games.

This offense is awful right now. No reason not to take check downs and sustain a drive when they are wide open. It honestly seems like Ben wants chunk plays every play and hates long time-eating drives for some reason.

If Ben's (and the entire offense's) play doesn't improve considerably and soon, we could be looking at 2-5 before you know it.

As sad as this is, Ben could retire right now and I wouldn't care. I know I know be careful what you wish for. But to me even an outsider QB should be able to light it up with this offense. Alex Smith for example.

He definitely hasn't looked great this year. Lots of passes that are too high, and too many thrown into coverage with someone else wide open.

40 passes and the game was, in general, a score away. They need to run the ball

Ben's career seems to be mirroring Eli's career.

Yeppers. looking at the schedule I assumed we would start 3-0. Now it is going to get tougher and it's not looking pretty.

Roethlisberger certainly missed some throws early, but the offensive problems aren't all on him. The offensive line has not been good at all, so teams aren't worrying as much about the run. The protection has been erratic. Also, Bryant needs to learn how to fight for a ball once in a while. The throw before the tying field goal is a perfect example. He let the defender fight through him to the ball. He needs to use his size to go up strong and get the ball. That should have been a touchdown.

Ben is still very good, but he's not as sharp as he was. he missed guys downfield, and missed on the quick unloads under pressure that used to kill teams. Ben is in decline, he's still good, but he's moving back to the middle of the pack.

And my mortal enemy Tom Bratty has another amazing day at the tender age of 40. Should the Steeler season tank please let them destroy the Patroits in the Burgh and would not mind if they ended Brady's career.

Even in your own paragraph, he declined from very good, to good, to middle of the pack (average). Dang, that's a rapid decline. :smiley1:

Brady didn't take hits sat an earlier age and avoids then now . As an OC Brady is Sid Gilman, Ben is Elmer Fudd. That is why Brady can play at 40, and Ben wont

If he still looks like this come week 6, then it's time to sit him and give someone else a chance. We have too many weapons to look this bad

His work ethics from day was lacking. He remind me of allen Iverson (practice?practice?) Ben, has gone off of natural talent from his first year with pittsburgh. Now, that he's gotten older... talent takes a back seat to father time. And, without structured mechanics (ala brady) he's being exposed. He tried to tell us last season that his game, will to play has greatly diminished. But, we all.talked him out of retirement

Isn't moving from very good to good, moving back to the middle of the pack? It ain't moving away from it!
