Well, there goes any possibility of a game plan.

Go get em Ben. Bring us home a win.

    Hopefully you go 32 for 47 and 3 td's.

Was there any doubt? I just hope the stains don't go after his ankle and do more damage, cause you know there won't be any roughing the passer calls for us.

The first reply to this post complains about Arians and the second complains about the refs both before the game is even played.

I will bet that we have a solid game plan to beat the Browns and that the refs don't miss any roughing the passer calls.

I have no doubt the Browns will go after his ankle.....especially after they lost their QB after playing us the first time. On a humurous note, I saw that Pat Shurmur said he didnt think there would be any retaliation against Harrison by his team after the HTH hit in the last game.... :lolol: I would love to see someone TRY to retaliate against James Harrison. :yeehaw:

Has Ben ever gotten any calls his way? RARELY. Christ they didn't even throw a flag when he got his nose broke.

I'm the first one you are referring to so I'll address that.

BA will not get in the way of Ben and how they want to run this offense. It doesn't matter how the opposing defense stacks up. There are many years of proof going into this theory. He just doesn't want to go against what he feels Ben does best and that is to scramble and improvise. It works best for Ben and gives him the best chance of winning so why bother coming up with a game plan at all?

Yeah I figured that but do you do that knowing that Harrison will be fully aware of what is going on? Even if it's not a direct retaliation on James, if you target one of his teammates, you might as will target him and I just dont think the Browns are that stupid. The fact that the coach already brought it up on national TV has already gotten Harrison's attention enough. Not to mention that James will have an axe to grind since his suspension was a direct result of the first game.

Do you think MT has talked to JH and told him to "behave" this game cause you know roger will be watching just waiting to have any execuse to suspend him for the playoffs. Maybe they should sit him this game to ensure he is playoff bound.

Completely agree, Completely agree, Completely agree.

Why risk the injury going against an opponent that Batch should be able to handle with ease based on his last performance?

I also completely agree. Oh what a hero Ben is.......let Charlie handle the ball, he will do fine. If the O line lets the Brownies get to Ben they will go after the ankle that is a no brainer and then we will bring in Charlie anyway to finish the game and the great Ben will be out of the playoffs. So stupid, the coaching staff on the Steelers these days are nothing but a SHIP OF FOOLS.

    I hope Ben does play.

Can you imagine if the Steelers would win with Batch and Baltimore loses? That would be a whole month, I repeat a whole month before Ben would see action in his next start. Hey, sometimes it's better to be banged up rather than fresh/rusty.

I really don't understand why some are having severe seizures.

I don't believe the whole rusty thing considering we are in week 17. It's not like a professional football player is going to forget how to play, lose his timing or forget tendencies of his team mates.

i thought i read somewhere that his snaps will be limited to so many plays or series and then charlie comes in. i don't mind this, it will help him have game time going into next week. both of them.

I don't think it is a good idea. Hopefully we can build a lead and get Ben out of there. Didn't one of the Brown players hit Ben with a forearm to the head down near the goaline the last time we played them? That's what I am worried about, a cheap shot.

brady hasen't practiced all week with a bad non throwing shoulder. we are still in prime position to get the #1 seed. you don't take that lightly. you can't play scared. you seize what they give you. we want momentum going into the playoffs. we do want the week off if we can get it.

Yes I agree a # 1 seed would be great along with the bye. It is important. I am just saying if ben plays and we get a big lead and the game is in hand batch should be put in. These are the lowly browns we are playing. They could do anything. We need ben in the playoffs.

The Patriots play an early game and the Steelers will know if the #1 seed is available before the even take the field. If the Pats win that early game, the best the Steelers could do is the #2 seed.
