Ben has torn meniscus

Rivers came back from the same surgery in 6 days. Ben could probably play against the Cheatriots but I'd sit him. Definitely back after the bye.

 

We play a POS team and before the day is over our dreams of #1 seed turn into just hoping somehow we find a way into the playoffs.

 

Never a good idea to stop that addiction man. You have to get back onto it.

Seems Ben brings on a lot of these injuries by making dumb plays. Throw the F'n ball away. Our line play sucked yesterday. His days of scrambling to extend plays are over, not mobile enough anymore. Our backup QB's like our defense are worthless. With the other three teams in our division playing bad, this wold of been a good year to take the division, now it will be a toss up. This team is too inconsistent.

 

love it, it's who Ben is kinda late in his career to change now. But there is never a thread about how Ben extended the play and won the game.......... The play he got hurt on he barely got touched, what was he suppose to do? The freakin line didn't block pressure right at him he took off and they got his foot. I agree with you about the back up qb and the defense but not on Ben.

 

This sucks Ben came into this season in very good shape and he came out of the gate pretty hot. I was hoping this is the year Ben gets the credit he deserved and now this. I was expecting a let down last week vs the Jets and when that didn't happen I was very hopeful this may be the year we dominate. This kills me as it does so many of you, with Ben we at least have a fighting chance but now with no Ben we are done. Are defense is a total joke and it don't matter who is playing for us our scheme sucks, plain and simple!!!!!!!!! Our injuries keep pilling up I am not sure we can dig out of this hole with so many players down. I will root whoever is back there I am hoping Zack gets the chance but I have no faith right now........

 

Oh and one more thing to the people who are on the.....we could of had Dak in the 4th bandwagon......Stop stop stop!!!! The could of, would of, should of stuff don't fly. We could go back and do that for every pick after the fact. If my memory is correct I do believe Dak had some issues and we took him off our board. You don't hear nothing about that now cause he is leading the almighty Cryboys and as long as they win your past don't matter. Go back and looking it up, I do believe a DWI right at draft time, a few fights in college....yep Steeler material!!!!!!

 

I'm telling you guys ,,Bens gonna be refreshed and ready to go ..
I had the surgery a couple years ago ,no real layup time at all..The doc even told me not to labor it ,just go out and use it ..
I was running the trails the next week ..

He'll be advised to sit out this weekend but i bet he could go ..
Once the tear is cleaned up ,thats it ,its cleaned up..No more pain ..

 

While I'm no doctor, I tend to agree somewhat with this. I think what we're seeing is an overly-cautious outlook on Ben's injury.

Bottom line? We all know Ben's MO by now. He'll be back by the time the team suits up for Baltimore.

Anyone believe in karma? Ben talks about injuries this week, they practice too hard and then this...

 

6 years straight we have an excuse of why we don't win playoff games. Kinda old.

With the talent we have we should still beat the Ravens. The patriots were 3-1 with out Brady.

Frankly I'm more concerned about how we lost to the Dolphins like we did. We are loaded with talent but get destroyed by the Eagles and Dolphins. And the head coach has no part in this?

 

Luckily we have a bye week. Good thing we didn't have an early one. Maybe he returns against Dallas. If we can some how win a game against the Patriots or Ravens. It be great. If not the season won't be totally lost. This would also give Ben close to a month off. Time for other guys to step up.

 

That sucks, would have been nice to see how we stand against the pats. Now I'm convinced it'll be a blood bath. Maybe Landry and Bell can combine for more than 23 minutes TOP this next game?

Kind of why I think we should start blowing this Team up and start the rebuild ...We have no real #2 QB and a very shaky D so the odds are we are not going to win a huge playoff game much less the Superbowl before Ben retires ...

Who knows if we can even draft a good QB this means that AB is useless to us without Ben...He will be wanting a huge contract so it might be better to trade him for a real DB and a #1 draft pick ...Take that #1 pick and draft another real DB ...Try to deal Wheaton and see what we can get for him ? Take our #1 and get another DB , then in round #2 draft a pass rusher, in round #3 take another pass rusher ..round #4 til the end of the draft take all DB'S or pass rushers ...

If we pick 4 or so guys at each position surely we can hit on at least 1 of them ....
If we only hit on 1 each then do it again next draft , I am tired of watching this sorry defense and hearing just wait for them to jell, they suck they don't have the talent period...I would rather have a strong Defense and a running game instead of a Team that depends on 1 guy so much that the rest of the roster is basically useless without him...

That is not as a strong Football Team ....

 

Ben will be back after the bye. He is the toughest guy out there. Whether or not he should be playing that soon is another story. The issue I have is that we all know that Ben gets injured every season -simply because he takes a beating every season. WHY Landry Jones is the one we are STILL pinning all of our hopes on, is beyond me??? So, here we are, again, having to depend on a backup who has no skill whatsoever.

 

Funny how things change so fast in the NFL. After the Jets game #7 seemed like a given. Now we got to hope we can just get in. The defense was exposed by the Dolphins and with the Cheaters looming large we got a problem. Not a Landry fan at all. But hopefully the offense can step it up til Ben returns. 1&1 would be a godsend.
