Steeler fans are not allowed to praise Tom Brady.

    Ever.

Eleventy billion yards. Forfeit the down.

He cheated. It’s ok to hate a cheater. His history will have an asterisk just like Barry Bonds.

This was making the rounds on twitter yesterday. The shot about his intelligence was out of line but probably close to the mark :lolol:

I'll go on the record right now.

Aside from Dobbs, Ben's probably one of if not the smartest QBs we've had. (Not that the competition is steep)

I'm not saying he's a rocket scientist. But he is not stupid. Let's get real.

Being smart as a QB isn't necessarily even about being an actual smart person. It is about being able to process all the visual information and making a good decision quickly. That is very different than the sort of intelligence you use to do complicated math, for instance.

It helps if you study film and the playbook. Just saying.

Chris Carter wouldn't know smart if it came up & slapped itself into him.

Ben doesn’t strike me as a smart person at all. Not football smarts but book smart, he doesn’t come across that way to me.

I don’t know about Bens overall intelligence. I think he’s smart. But he’s arrogant, he’s got so much faith in his athletic ability, that he rejects coaching input and rolls his own. This worked better when he was young, but he’s not young anymore.

But if media savvy reflects intelligence, and to some degree it does, Ben is a master. He plays the media like a fiddle. Calls out players without calling them out. Rips AB without tipping him, calls out J Washington without really doing so. Loves Coach Todd while dumping the blame on him. Passive-aggressive psychological master. Aw-shucks when it suits him. Always loves the OL even when it sucks. Peyton Manning was an OC on the field, Ben is Sigmund Freud in the post game pressers.

IQ is not part of playing Qb...well only 2 a point, but I bet I can think of 5 starting Qbs that makes Ben seem Like a freaking Genius.

Yeah, I'm over it, I just want it to end. Hoping he hits the wall Peyton hits before the leaves are on the ground.

Re: this thread, there is no Ben/Brady narrative. Ben's not in the same stratosphere.

Ben is still not very good at audibles. Runs into heavy box counts, throws into crowded secondaries far too often. Brady wins before the ball is snapped.

Hmmm. Yet You say we are in a heavy box count all game ....every game. You can't have both of Your narratives be correct
