Yeah, the online definition uses the word obsequiously, which may be more obscure than sycophant.

Basically, a sycophant is somebody who fawns over a person they believe is important. Usually, they do it so the important person will look out for them or like them. Of course, people who act that way usually do not believe in their own value.

 

I finally got around to checking out this link. Did you vet this source of information? What do you know about salary.com? Where do they get their information? Do they take into account the dramatic differences in cost of living as you compare different parts of the country? Maybe you could learn how to do that, as you certainly missed it in the evaluation of Bell's new contract and the higher cost of living in New York and New Jersey as opposed to Pennsylvania.

Everyone knows New York has a much higher cost of living than Pittsburgh. A little cubical studio apartment in Manhattan probably is like 3000 a month just for rent. But that's because it's New York. The largest market in this country other than LA. New York or Pittsburgh? Which is considered the better place to be?

 

And who did I criticize on the team with my own personal opinion? Link me to that please. Also im not the one here calling people that are millionaires and famous idiots. You're an average Joe so you dont fall in that category lmao. We are talking about millionaires in unique positions. Not someone in a position it doesn't take anyone special to reach. If I wanted to switch my major right now to English I could easily do what you're doing. No one in this life is above criticism. That's one of the founding principles of the country we live in. Your entire premise is ridiculous, but even if we accepted your premise as true, your own behavior on this thread and on this board does not live up to your own claims about how people should behave. I've got more money than you. Based on my former career in journalism and my current place as a teacher, I'm more well known than you. That means, by your own standards, you have no business criticizing me.

Somebody else mentioned that you keep digging the hole even deeper. Your claim that you could be an English teacher may be the most ridiculous thing you've posted yet, and that's quite a bar. You couldn't do what I do. Based on what I've seen here, I wonder about your ability to even graduate college. I don't say that out of arrogance. I say that because I see what you are and how you express yourself. Your limited grasp of English would get you laughed out of any school in America if you applied for a job.
