Would you be surprised to see us take a Blount type rb in the draft this year in light of what happened in the playoffs?

I see plenty of holes on offense, if you're talking about backups. But given the holes on defense (backups and starters)... I'm all about coming out of this draft with a TE, RB, and OL (maybe a Wesley Johnson type... sonofa*****). I just don't want to use any high picks. I'd like to go heavy on defense this year. I think if we don't get a mid-late round TE that seems like a promising successor to Heath this year, next year might be the time for us to pull the trigger on an early rounder.

I agree snack that TE may not be an early rounder this year. heath still has some game left and we got a late rounder and a good looking futures guy in here right now in egnew.

BFT to answer your question , yes I wouldn't be opposed to a higher draft pick for a RB since RB is such a large part of our offense with bell. I am also not opposed to a WR within the first 4 rounds or LT as a first if that's how it plays out.

what happens if one of 3 players go down? heath, bell or AB? I'm not sure we have anyone in place to even get us remotely back to being competitive. TE I think to a lessor degree with a couple of new additions for next year in blanchflower and egnew.

I know we need defense, but I also don't think we are as far off as most here state we are on defense. I also think our next starting corner will and should come in the form of a free agent lessoning our need for a high one in the draft. ( at least a first rounder). I think we will draft a safety and a corner in the first 3 rounds at some point, but I still wouldn't pass on some more firepower on offense just for the sake of forcing one of those positions.
