I still don't understand how he's under the drug policy when he never tested positive (for the NFL) and only plead guilty to accept the plea bargain.

He may be ancient in player years but, don't forget. He was in a 2 back system a few years before he came here

Yeah he was used very sparingly. If AB has another stellar year it will free up some space for him too.

You're assuming he skipped his drug test because of weed. Maybe he skipped his drug test because he just took HGH or a steriod. Maybe he was doing coke? We don't know why he skipped his test but it's obviously becuase he knew he wouldn't pass it. That sucks. This team is made up of morons. Not really confident they can win a title when your key players are as stupid as ours.

Now I'm starting to question our whole staff. This is happening way too much with key players. You would think the coaching staff would have some positive influence on these guys. Almost seems like they are in the same mold as the Bengals or Browns. Just plain stupid with these guys to waist their careers away.

Ignorance is bliss with this player. What a special talent wasted.

Players need to look at the bigger picture and not what is in it for themselves. Does anyone think the Pens win the Stanley cup this year if a star player like Crosby is waking and baking daily?

I'm guessing that ends his chances for a long term contract. If he has a great final 12 games then you slap the franchise tag on him, if not see you later.

    "Weed over money."

We're on the verge of losing two starters.

This is a bad sign. I had so much hope for this team as a whole. Looks like it's just not gonna happen no where near the level we were so excitedly anticipating.

Harmless drug that is illegal in most states and most jobs test for. The fact is, the NFL is a company and can choose what they test for, and what they don't. There are over the counter drugs on the banned list too. The players know the rules, THEY choose to follow or not follow those rules, PERIOD.

Millions of dollars on the line and these players can't pass on smoking weed??? Pathetic.

Yet one of the most destructive drugs of all time alcohol, is perhaps the league's biggest sponsor

Bell is a million dollar talent with a ten cent head, I stopped following him on Twitter last season after he got suspended. This is why I don't buy players jerseys anymore knuckleheads like Bryant, Bell could be gone like they got rid of Santonio.

I bought Bell and Bryant last year. Lol!
Guess I'll use them to line the litter box.

The last jersey I bought was Polamalu, maybe if Ben won another Super Bowl I would think about getting his.

I don't resign him next year unless it's on the cheap. But this year, he's a talent when on the field, so I'd run him into the ground...and then throw him out like trash in the offseason.
