They are like any major brand in a sport though. Consider Manchester Utd, Real Madrid, etc. Hated in their own leagues, adored outside of them. Which one brings in the most $?

Didnt you also say they'd never hand a suspension down to him in the first place ;)

I'm beginning to think that the longer this drags on Brady could just end up with a hefty fine like a 100 K and no game suspensions, and the reason why I think that is because the season opener is the NFLs big celebration for the super bowl champs, and who is the biggest celebrity to be honored, well Tom of course, the super bowl MVP for a 3rd time no less: I can hear Goodell now explaining why he reduced Bradys punishment, it will go something like this, we dont have any confirmed proof that brady participated in deflating footballs but just enough circumstantial evidence to warrant a fine; and the team has been heavily punished which they have accepted, so this is our final ruling to put an end to this unfortunate incident: I believe behind the scenes owner Bob Kraft made a deal with Goodell that he wouldnt appeal the teams punishment if Brady doesnt get any game suspensions, this may not happen but it is really important to the patriots and the league to have the SB MVP Brady on the field for the big celebration, this may never happen, but I don't rule it out....

Steroids were introduced into the NFL by a San Diego Chargers strength coach named, Alvin Roy way back in 1963. By the 1970's quite a few players on many teams were using steroids and amphetamines. Jim Haslet's comment that the Steelers were the team that, "kinda started it" was completely untrue.

For what is worth here is a link to an article that has the odds in Brady's favor for playing week 1...

    http://network.yardbarker.com/author/article_external/19014323?widget=true

I've heard it rumored before that Brady may someday try to run for politics as a Senator or something....seems like the legal shenanigans are right up the alleyway of a future politician if he chooses to pursue injunctions and all that BS that allow him to play week 1.

Wishing something horrible like that on another human being is worthy of a face palm and face palms aren't against rules by the way ;)

1 hour talking about deflated footballs; 10 hours of attorneys telling the league what they'll do if the suspension isn't overturned.

If Brady gets any amount of suspension lifted i don't see him playing game 1, yet i would like to see Pittsburgh send Brady a message full of humiliation for 60 mins.

True, nothing like not having the same front he's been looking at change in game one. Would love to see Tuitt get a few hits in on him!

I don't see it, he'll receive at least one game for not cooperating if nothing else.

But he could still play week 1 if he gets an injunction which basically lets things carry on business as usual until a final decision is made. The suspension of a anywhere between 1-4 games is still likely, but when they occur now seems up in the air.

He'll take it to court...and will play all of 2015 until a trial date is set in 2016.

If he takes it to court, he'll have to reveal his text messages. Don't see him doing that unless he is innocent like he has been claiming all along. Which seems very unlikely given what we already know.

I don't think he'll go to court. It's possible, but I think they'll reduce his suspension and he'll begrudgingly accept it.
