I'd take Bell back just like the team will. Everyone knows he makes the team better even if they don't want to admit it.

He hasn’t played in a game for 10 months. Won’t be getting the we’re used to.

He will eventually get up to speed. He's better than the back ups they have now. Bell makes the team better. I am not sure why any body wouldn't want to add depth that makes the team better?

Maybe it's because a select group of fans have labeled Bell a cancer, not a team player, or painted him as a bad guy simply because of his business decision. He's standing by his belief that he feels he's worth more than the Steelers offered. I don't see the problem with that. Especially in a business where teams don't have an issue cutting or trading players based on business decisions.

I stated my opinion a few posts back. I wouldn’t worry about what you or I think though. It has no bearing on what the Steelers will do.

So him not showing up for a team meeting before a huge playoff game, getting suspended how many times now? Etc etc.

It’s not just the fans. The team knows he cancer too that’s why the online spoke out.

It’s not like he was even offered some awful deal anyways last summer.

Be gone with him. I don’t care about his skill he’d be a distraction. Team is rolling. Forget him

Part of that Is because Tomlin doesnt have discipline. Look at josh gordon. He's been a model citizen in NE because he knows if he messes up he is gone.

Doesn’t look like Bell cares if he’s gone.

Nope, he's not a cancer. You even said it yourself but didn't realize it I guess. The Steelers wouldn't had offered him a big money contract if they thought he was a cancer. The Steelers got rid of players they thought were cancers. Players also stated they will welcome him back if he returns.

Nope. Tomlin and the organization proved that they will discipline players.

Things tend to change when players realize that there's is a business aspect to the sport. That's as it should be though.

I agree. It is not how the Steelers usually operate. However, we are usually right up against the cap. That should not be the case going into 2019. Ramon Foster is an intelligent, veteran player in this league. Not only does he provide a leadership presence in the locker room, but he also remains a far superior option to both Bj Finney and Matt Feiler at this point in their careers. I am not suggesting they break the bank for Foster. But I do not think it would kill the Steelers to pay market value for once, in order to keep a player that has been underpaid and under appreciated his entire career. We have the cap room. Give Foster a market value 2 year contract. No reason to rush Finney and Feiler into service.

That's amount of money he makes is TBD. What you state isn't a fact. He took a risk. He's probably going to make a lot of money regardless.

Distraction for the fans. Side show for the media to report something. Other than that he hasn't been a real distraction for the team. I suppose that's what professionalism is about.

Yeah whatever. When he didn't show up for the first week of the season you're telling me that wasn't a distraction with some of the team speaking out against him?

Oh no Bell is not here. What are we going to do? The Steelers should fold up and change cities. Come on man be realistic. It isn't that deep.

No. I don't believe that to be the case. It's not an issue that players have to answer regarding 24 hours a day. They said what they had to say and moved on.

Would you be thinking about Bell or any player that wasn't there to play if you were on the team? Or would you be focused on your opponent knowing it's your job on the line if you don't perform? Speaking for myself I'd be focused on my opponent.

I thought the Bryant and bell suspsenions were handed down by the nfl. Not the team. Teams normally dont suspend players. I'm just saying the type of things our guys did you wouldnt see some guys get away with elsewhere. Remember how ap looked at sean Payton for not getting him the ball? He was out of there quickly.

The team suspended Bryant, Bell, and Holmes a game. They also cut and traded players. Fringe players that don't make a lot of money are easier to cut and trade. The Steelers proved that they will fine, cut, and trade players.

Every team has players that get out of line. That's the nature of the beast.
