He has some pretty bizarre beliefs. I think the COVID isolation is getting to his noggin.

Never despised Bell as much as AB. Nfl players have a finite time to make their $ especially nfl rbs who have a short shelf life. They may get 1 contract where as most other positions if at Bell level can get 2 to 4 total nfl contracts over their career.

He bet on himself, made his money, and in my opinion failed. I feel like he would have made the same and most likely more if he stayed plus hed be a fan favorite for life.

Business is business. Players generally become hired mercenaries when agents and financial gains are involved.

Only a handful of players will remain loyal to a franchise for lesser dollars. The Steelers loss their share of quality players in the free agency era. I think Heyward and Watt took less money to remain in Pittsburgh.

Teams cut or trade players for X, Y, or Z reaons.

Not sure why this is a major issue for fans at this point?

AB was always a different character that Tomlin and the Steelers managed to achieve top tier production. AB had over 11000 yards and 74 TD as a WR with the Steelers in 9 seasons.

Why did AB eventually become disgruntled in Pittsburgh? Probably because his QB called him out and didn't see him as an equal caliber of player.

Steelers ownership sat down with AB so who knows?

There’s no doubt that the Ben, Bell and Brown offense was explosive and they fed off each other. Too bad our defense was so lacking during that period

I always wondered if Bell's unrealistic view of his value was all his own or did he have a greedy agent who was looking to cash in.
The Steelers did do the right thing even though their offer was huge, Bell had some crazy idea he should make as much as a star RB and a star WR.
Bell's production and so called splash plays were on the decline in his last two years with the Steeler's , they made the right decision not to cave in to his demands.

Still though a classy thing to say though.

I never understood what an extra mil or two really means to your lifestyle , you know do you have to buy a smaller mansion or not buy a second Lambo if you are forced to get by on 14 mil versus 17 mil.

The sensible ones who recognize I have a good thing here and I have enough money I don't need to be greedy are pretty rare.

Bell is paying respect to Ben. There is nothing wrong with that.

Odd, I don’t know, Rollers. They are tweets from twitter, you don’t need an account to view them. I took a screen capture so you could see it. Hopefully!

I appreciate Bell's sentiments here. But I still consider him a complete POS.

Bell is a complete idiot, one step below AB. He made the dumbest move of any Steeler player except for AB.

Sad thing is... Bell had some good prime years left and had he stayed with the Steelers on a 2nd contract, his career would've ended up much better, IMO. Bell is the "Axl Rose" of the NFL... wasted his prime by holding out and signing with the Jets.

I think it’s more about ego than the money when you get up into those numbers. The money is obviously a huge part of it, but wanting to be recognized as the best and highest paid, is also a factor.
