On a related note, I thought Vince Williams was pretty decent in the game as well.

If Bell had not been so darn injury prone, he could have been a consistent pro bowler.

Me, too. I, also, was fine with what Bell did today. The Jets D is stout. We ran the ball, took time off the clock, and wore down the D.

I did follow Jarvis Jones in college (future son-in-law is a HUGE Georgia fan). I thought he was a beast and I really thought he had a great game against the Jets. He is going to be great.

It's hard to believe that some people that consider themselves Steelers "fans" will actually hope they fail, but this thread is a fine example that "fans" like that do exist.

Sure seems that way doesn't it? I haven't seen a Steelers fan troll their own team this much in my life.

But isn't Lacey running behind an Oline that's a little better than ours? Bell will pick up the pace as soon as this line can start run blocking at a pro level, Bell probably would have had a good game yesterday behind the packers Oline, ya think???

First of all I'm as negative as they come. Second we will see first hand next week when we play Baltimore. Yeah he may have missed a couple of lanes, but what is important is he didn't try to make something out of nothing. He at least consistently got positive yards. It's only his second game and he is running behind a sub-par line. Give him a chance.

Thanks BFT! Give this kid a couple more games and this thread will die the death it deserves. Once Bell gets his "pro" feet under him he will be a good one, that is assuming people view him with realistic expectations. The days of Walter Payton are over, atleast for now. Heck, Chris Johnson isn't even Chris Johnson in today's NFL. Bell will be worth the pick!

What I like most about Bell, from what I've seen, is that he gives a bit of a spark where we needed it most. That may not be translating into amazing yardage just yet, but that bit of a jump to the running game has really helped in the last two games.

It all started with the high ankle sprain that I feel they rushed him back from.

That is a very long time to complete 4 carries.

Who cares the team won Bell will be alright it's only his second game, and the O-line is terrible.
