Who do you like better? Pickens or DJ, Steelers won't be able to pay both.

Considering we won't have to worry about Pickens for 3 years and DJ for another 2 years, this point is moot. That's a can we can kick for at least two years.

Who do you like better a 10 year plug and play LT/CB or DJ? We will see if Weidl and Omar have the
rocks that Weidl old boss has.

If one of the top Tackles isn't available ( and this is unlikely) I think the DT pock will be Bryan Bresee and not Kancey.

Personally, I think Kancey is going to be a stud. But not with us.

I gave you an trade alternative that achieves the thing that you want FFS....

Swap first round picks for 2023, then a 2024 2nd Round pick and Dotson.... third time I mentioned this... Seems to me you just want to send DJ packing.

the first two may not be the sexy picks but they upgrade both sides of the ball. smith could actually extend cam heywards playing days.

they like mcdonald and it would give depth to the position but even moving stevenson up to that spot and mooris up to the 3rd may be more in line of an upgrade. stevenson is talented. morris would give us 4 solid tackles.

blackmon in the 4th i wouldn't have a problem with either. possibly clark phillips if he dropped here.

getting beal from georgia later could fill the need at OLB later. they have looked at him.

You are assuming the Lions or some other team in the top 10 will trade that pick for a package including Johnson, which is far from a sure thing given his contract.

i would not get rid of DJ at this point. he has a lot of worth to us especially after adding robinson. we have a nice group right now and i am including miller if he can stay healthy. we have 5 that could be as good a group as any out there. the coverage advantage that pickens and robinson add or subtract from DJ's coverage will help all involved including friermuth and warren/ harris/ heyward.

Agreed,I think the Lions think there real close to competing in the NFC
And now have lost 3 Wr's 2 forever and their #12 pick last year for 6 games
They need a competent wr. Steelers should be exploring.

Johnson being the only wide receiver available in the entire NFL or the draft.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't draft a WR this year, unless they make a trade to acquire more picks.

He is proven to be a guy who can get open against just about any NFL defender, but one who makes sloppy mistakes at the worst possible times. He is also due $8 million in salary and a $2.5 million roster bonus for 2023. That would also leave the Steelers with a dead money cap hit for his signing bonus.

Given the price tag, the Steelers aren't getting the No. 6 overall pick for Johnson without giving up No. 17. You want the Steelers to destabilize and severely weaken their wide receiver room and retain a dead money cap hit to move up 11 spots. In the short run, that does more damage to the offense than it helps the defense if they get one of those elite corners. It is too much to give up for any of those tackles. Most importantly, it works against Pickett's development, and that is a deal-breaker.

You do realize that the chance of us taking Washington in the first is 0.0001%, right?
