Amen to this. I’ve been hearing that some like Hooker enough for him to be drafted in the 1st. If 5 go in the first, that would be super.

It’s that test you took last week and got 4% on. Don’t you remember?

Plenty of QBs score low on those tests, I don't see it affecting Stroud's draft status.

It replaced the wonderlink (???) or whatever that mental test was. Brice Young did really well, CJ's was a total mess according to reports. It supposedly tests mental acuity under stressful situations, quick thought response and decision making.

Realistically, Stroud is the only one of this bunch that I see really haven't a long career. Young could be a Russell Wilson/Kyler Murrey mixture but not too sure. I really think that Richardson could've benefitted with another year of CFB. He'd be a hella lot more polished and pro ready. I think he would've learnt more playing at the college level than riding the bench at the pro level. Levis can have a solid career. And as for a guy like Hooker, I'm converting him to WR the first chance I get.

Now add the Detroit Lion Betting scandal, we could have a top CB fall right in our laps.

Steelers maybe able to trade DJ and other players (dotson) for Lions 6th spot. Steelers Have lots of options picking 6th.

Why trade DJ? All that would realistically leave us with is Pickens and Allen Robinson. Zero guarantee that Austin III becomes a legitimate #3 WR now. I think trading DJ defeats the purpose of getting Robinson in the first place.

CJ decision making looked pretty good against that Georgia defense in the playoffs, I wouldn't worry about some test score.

I trust the Steelers ability to get another wr , plus we can maybe get a franchise player with this pick? Addition by subtraction.

I'm sure we can achieve moving up without creating a major hole in the team when we got a bunch of other holes to fill already.

You have to give something to get something. Can't have it both ways.

Of course. You can package a next years pick to do so... there's a ton of directions you can go. Leaving Pickett with just one viable option at WR is just crazy. If Robinson can be healthy, he's definitely a 2nd. But he hasn't been able to stay healthy the past two years. Even with Robinson I'm not opposed to getting a WR on Day 2 or 3. Trading DJ means you need to get one on day 2. No thanks to this idea.

His decision making generally looked good anytime I saw him play vs. anyone but Michigan.

@Wardismvp@Wardismvp So drafting Hyatt in the 2nd is our best bet considering the needs at MLB, DL, S, OT? I'm sorry, this option just isn't feasible. If WR was a position of strength and we could spare a body or two, by all means do it. We need a #4 or #5 WR as we stand now. There's zero guarantee that Austin III is going to pan out. Trading DJ literally leaves us with 1 proven reliable WR.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree, I hope Steelers are exploring all their options. We could possibly be dealing for a franchise type CB or OL.
that is what I am hoping for. I like Dj, but not as much as I would like a franchise CB or OL Left tackle. Hyatt or any other receiver would be
    80 pick or later.

But you can achieve this by swapping first round picks and adding a 2024 2nd round pick and perhaps Dotson. I don't even like DJ. And as for OT, Darnell Wright will be sitting there at 17, you don't even need to move. The only two players I'd move up for are Christian Gonzalez or Jalen Carter.

Not to mention, getting rid of DJ totally destroys any progression Kenny P will make because he will have only ONE WR that he has any familiarity with.

They will just have to work harder to get up to speed, Robinson,Pickens, Cody White, Anthony Miller
Austin, Draft Pick. Now add freiermuth,Najee Conner Heyward. I like the nucleus for a possible franchise blindside tackle or shutdown corner.
Chase and Higgins now OBJ aren't going away.

Cody White and Anthony Miller aren't starting capable WR's in this league. ST players at best. If we was talking about the Pittsburgh Maulers I'd be about those two getting significant playing time.

I offered an alternative to achieve a trade up to get a shutdahn corner to stop Chase, Higgins and OBJ.
