After last week, I thought the Bears were Super Bowl contenders. After the last two minutes, it's more like the same old sorry a-- Bears

 

Very good start for Green Bay.


However, Chicago is doing well now to sustain drives.

Mitchell Trubrisky will make his debut soon.

 

Romo needs to learn he doesn't have to say every thought in his head. He actually has some insight, but he talks way too much. I really don't need to hear him give instructions to the replay truck like he does. Next he'll be broadcasting his food order while he gives it to the intern

 

I will give him the benefit of the debut.


This is his first official season of broadcasting. He is still learning as he goes. He should be better as the season goes on.


Now... Cris Collinsworth on the other hand..

 

Only one thought, Clay Matthews!!

 

He's a rookie, but they put him on presumably their #1 team with Nantz which I don't understand.

I guess there's no accounting for taste, but I actually think Collinsworth is the best in the business

 

CBS needed someone of the modern age. Phil Simms was not cutting it anymore and Romo was looking for a promising future.



CBS saw an oppurtunity and pounced on it. Sure, Romo is still making some "Rookie Mistakes" but I give CBS the benefit of debut as they took on someone who was entirely new and did not know entirely how he would perform.


I think he is doing quite well.

 

I forgot who Romo replaced! He is light years better than the guy who gave us such insights as "..for a pass to be a forward pass, it must go forward!" which I believe Phil said once during a Steelers game broadcast. Holy cow!

edit: found it, but won't play cause of dumb NFL rules, but for those that miss Phil just youtube "Phil Simms explains the forward pass"

I like Collinsworth too. Not sure what everyone hates about the guy. When he first started out back in the 90s on NBC or whatever, then yes, he was a dofus. But since his MNF reincarnation, he brings it.

 

how is the Bear guy not ejected after that hit?
