beachum pushing for a starting spot

I'm trying to post the link but I can't anymore from my phone but it's in the post Gazette. Tomlin said he isn't chnging spots anymore and is working exclusively at tackle leading to some speculation that he is in the running to take over one of the two tackle spots.

Isn't it ironic that among all our high draft pics on the o-line, the only starter that had no penalties or didn't give up a sack against the skins is the one that went undrafted, and now, the 6th rd. Pick may be pushing for a starting job

 

wasn't he the third of three, 7th round picks. amazing what brains, long arms and hard work can do.

 

I would like to see him replace Gilbert. While all of our OL have been doing their best full retard in the Preseason, Gilbert just worries me. I think Beachum deserves an opportunity with the starters.

 

I think adams goes back to the right side if this happens.

 

On top of that the only DE that is making noise is the one that is an undrafted free agent (Al Woods). He is making Cameron Heyward and Ziggy Hood look bad.

i'm all for whomever keeps guys off bens blind side. he can see them coming from the right and adams would help our running to the right more. beachum can do some things on the move to the left also. we'll see is all I know.

i'm still concerned about foster and his mobility at LG too. it's not real great on the move in this scheme so far from what I've been seeing. he's that step or two slow if you watch him on the move and this scheme needs those guys to hit multiple targets on the move. a lot of the time LB'ers.

 

if the tackles would show enough they could. I think we need one or find out how long Cheadle is going to be out. I will say hubbard looked better last week on the move he's quick. still aweful light weight wise.
