would it be to our advantage to leave beachum at center this week? will we have to dummy down the offense to use a new guy in Wallace or valasco? would Wallace know the offense better if we decide to use a new center over beachum. he's been here a week longer.

I think it will be Valasco. Line calls are pretty similar from team to team.

I think a week to prepare will be plenty of time.

is he familiar with the ZBS we are running?

I don't know what the titans the last couple of years when he was there.

at least it gives us an extra day this week.

Cody Wallace has like 18 snaps as an NFL player. That's not too good of a resume but if he's a natural center wouldn't that make him a liiiittle bit better than Beachum? My guess is they don't have confidence in either to get it done if they're bringing someone in to do it. Or maybe they just REALLY wanna use that formation with Beachum on the end.

I think beachum is just so versatile and part of the game plan in other ways that they don't want him locked down at center especially with a decent FA out there. If valesco wasn't there then beach would be starting.

If valesco has experience in a ZBS then I think he will be fine but as you said I don't know if he has either.

Well I think we could simply plug in the best player and let Decastro make the calls.....If that won't work let Ben make the calls, need to get all the skill we can get on that OL even if we give up some knowledge.

skills matched up with skills. our line is not player matched very well at all.

foster is slow as molasses. gilbert is as inept as they come.

i'd be in favor of beachum at LT, DD moving to LG, valasco at C, Wallace at RG, and adams back to RT. this matches speed and mobility of each player and the player next to them better then what we have been piecing together.

in this system it is so crucial to match your line up personnel wise to make it work.

I agree Foster is a power blocker only has no place on a zone OL, Aand Gilbert is neither strong or mobile he doesn't fit any scheme.People want to blame Redman and our other RB'S ,but the OL is set up all wrong just like you stated.

IMO as stated in another thread we should have kept Doug and moved Pouncey to LG.Maybe the Team will now realize Pouncey is really a better fit at LG in the NFL.
