These discussions are pointless. Fans say fire the coach we have and hire a better one with ZERO to add with that. I'm not saying bring specific names to the conversation, but at least bring specific qualifications. I even saw someone post, 'find the right QB'. DUH!

I like coaches that coach the players they have. When Tomlin made the playoffs with Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges at QB, it was one of the best coaching accomplishments in history. That is not just opinion.

I would keep Tomlin. I would keep Arthur Smith. I would try to replace Teryl Austin with Matt Eberflus as DC.

To expand, Tomlin is a leader of men. That is what makes him a great Head football coach. Not X's and O's!!! He is not a coordinator, he is the HC.
I would keep Arthur Smith as OC because he fits what the plan has been for 3 seasons now. Become a run first offense with PA and pre-snap motion. That is the Arthur Smith business card.
I would love to have Matt Eberflus as our DC because his defenses are built off of the pass rush. Pass rush is what we have consistently done best. He plays a lot of Cover2 on the backend, but with our improvement with man coverage, we can play more Cover2. Plus, our ILBs would feast in his defense.

As far as, 'Find the right QB" goes, I would stick with Justin Fields, and draft a QB in one of the first 2 rounds of this draft. The most polished turd in the punchbowl.
