Well I'm interested in knowing what everyone thinks we should do personally I like Tomlin and I think it would be hard to replace him but he has been here to long it is time for change that being said if I was GM for the day I would try to trade Tomlin to the Jets for their first round then get a stud receiver with that pick and draft the running back from Arizona state. Go after the OC from Detroit and resign Fields that should get us weapons on Offense spend the rest of the draft on filling o-line and Corners Watts only got limited time left so no time for a total rebuild

I like your thinking. I’m not sure if Tomlins contract has a no trade clause in it. I am sure it does. But if we can trade him I am all for it at this point.

    Never mind GM, be Rooney.

I clean house at the top. Tomlin, Austin, Smith, Myers, Khan all gone.

    Name Weidl GM

    Offensive minded HC

    Vrabel or Ryan DC

Munchak OL coach, do whatever needs to be done to bring him back here

Once that is in place begin filling the holes in the roster.

    Blow it up.

Tomlin has to go, as do his coaches, if that's not happening then everything else is just a waste of time.

This regime is stale as all hell, and will never get it done. We're in danger of being that team that lives permanantly in it's past, like the Raiders ended up under Al Davis, sliding into obscurity, and never coming back for any length of time. We're holding onto to the past just like Ad Davis did.

Young offensive HC, let him have a proper long term tenure.

    Proper Def Co.

    Proper positional coaching.

    Find that QB.

I don't care if we suck for a few years either, sick of being in NFL purgatory.

I' d trade Tomlin and fire the defensive coordinator and the oline coach. I'd let Harris walk, draft a couple of Wr"s to compliment Pickens.( yall hate Pickens when he misses passes but love him when he makes plays) lol. Let Wilson walk and sign Fields to a 2-3 years reasonable contract

It doesn’t matter. Rooney doesn’t see a problem. Rinse and repeat. MT will be here next year and possibly beyond. Get used to mediocrity. It’s in our vocabulary now. Here we go mediocrity here we go! I hope the Steelers play Baltimore. I think that is our best chance to advance. We will play down to Houston and not take the Chargers seriously. Play Ravens and they will at least make a game of it.

If we go to Baltimore we're going to get absolutely mollywhopped, this team has no life at all.

If what we saw from the defense yesterday is an indication of them being back, they can hang with Baltimore. Holding the Bengals to under 20 and one TD is impressive. The players can walk it back all they want but pretty clear they were talking about Sutton. Let’s hope that flipped the switch for the defense.

Baltimore don't scare me , only thing I'm afraid of Is Wilson throwing a couple of picks or fumbling if we play solid ball we will win

They are probably going to get beat by any team they face. Herbert will put up 400 yards and 4 td’s. Houston will be pumped to play us. Baltimore is our best choice. At least it will be familiar and our best chance to win.

MT has to go and i still think many of the newer coaches we have added could stay. i'm not sure they have been given the freedom to implement their visions. he's a motivator to the players to an extent but not the coaches. coaches need to coach.

I agree with a lot said in this thread but I'm kind of thinking we are signing Wilson so we can have another wasted season:(

I always hope to get lucky and find a hidden gem at QB. It's rare but the GOAT was a lucky find for the Pats.

Was the defense back when they gave up 12 straight completions to Burrow? That dude carved this secondary to bits with 37 completions at 80%. Its just dumb luck, the bungholes didnt hang 40. Our secondary continues to be hot garbage. Without pressure on the QB, these guys are average at best. If the offense shows up like the past 4 weeks, the rats will destroy the steelers.

Good point! How could I forget "Joe Cool". I think he was a 3rd, 4th round pick.

Points my man, I’ll deal with bend but don’t break when going up against QB’s like Burrow.

If they can keep the game close like that next week hopefully the offense can get out of its own way enough to pull out a victory.

Realistically though, I’m expecting this to be a very short playoff appearance.

Sadly, as a fan, I know this is a bad take, but Steelers winning against Baltimore would be the worst outcome for the long-term good. No way they're good enough to win two more games against the likes of KC or BUF and Tomlin would get another 3 year lifeline (wona playoff game, leave me alone, now back to getting shelled 5 straight times!).

I know, I know, I should always want the Steelers to win, but at this point, I am focused on the greater good. If they win a SB in spite of me this year, then reply to this and I'll...sheepishly...eat my crow salad, crow bread, crow suffle and crow cake. Quite a bit of protein at least.

I would trade Pickens this offseason since he doesn't deserve a long-term contract.
