I would love to play them 1st game, but I doubt that would happen, how humiliating would that be if we creamed them on National television like that?

 

I think we will play them. I hope we knock the DOG CHIT out of them too

 

We don't cream bad teams, let alone good teams. I also think the problems we faced this year are still going to be present next year, so I'm not expecting anything different. I would just be happy with a win because I don't see any chance in hell of us blowing them out

 

We will play them tough, but we will lose. Next year will be a lot harder than this one. Hopefully we can win at least enough to get a wild card.

I hope the Steelers request not to be in that game. The two games vs. Baltimore are the most important of the year and I don't want to give them such a huge emotional edge in week 1.

The Cowboys were able to knock off the Giants in week 1. However, I believe that was FIRST TIME EVER that the defending SB champ lost since they started having them open the season on Thursday night. Something like 7 or 8 in a row.

The visiting team in that game is at such a huge disadvantage. It's a road game, it's primetime, the stadium is rocking because the team is still coming off the Superbowl buzz.

I want no part of that game, no matter who it is. It's the same reason I always wanted the Ravens in that game when it was us at home.

 

Blowing them out would be a first.. without Reed & Ray should have an impact on there performance. I'd welcome an opener with them!

 

Yeah, not really sure where all of this opitimism is coming from?? Why would we suddenly start wiping the floor with them? Its NEVER a blowout against Baltimore...even when we arent playing half hearted like we did this year. I really have no interest in starting off the season against them.

 

I don't wanna start the season against them either. We've started slow the last couple of years and I don't wanna start off with more bad vibes and digging our selves in to a hole from the gate. Also I don't know why anyone would think we would blow them out either. Since they got Flacco the only blowout we've had has been against US in that SEASON OPENER! So NO I don't wanna play them first. For some reason it has been taking us a while to realize that when the season starts we should play good beginning at that point and not wait until a few weeks AFTER that point.

Well I would just like for us to get the kinks out. But I can DEFINITELY see your point and if I knew that we'd show up ready to play I'd be all about it. I'd love to go in there and lay Flacco out big time. I can't wait to see him get hit for sure.

 

Kinks out...really....kinks out....I expect our team to have the kinks out LONG before the first game of next season. I want us to play the defending Super Bowl Champ in the first game of the year AND KICK THEIR ASS!!!!!!

 

Well remember a couple of years ago when we met them in week one and got trounced? Then this year we get beat in week one this year too so I just see a pattern there. It would be great to go in there and beat them in week one but the Pats usually come out swinging and it would also be funny to see them go in there and get them too. Maybe we can reach a compromise and say "ok we'll play them in Baltimore in week 1 IF Charlie Batch gets the start!" LOLOLOLOL!!!

 

I would rather take on a season rival 1st week when we are both at full strength....That is how I see it..

 

Yes we were taken to the wood shed and spanked 1st game in 2011. Also lost the week 9 game at home by 3. Still finished with a 12-4 record..PLEASE give me the Rats first game this year. In their house. After a SB win. Set the tone!!

I'm with you Myron, I'll take the Rats week 1. We have to go to their house. Better for it to be week one than week 15, with the playoffs on the line. Let's get healthy and make a run. Their heads will be so big from everyone telling them how great they are, they won't be playing their best. Plus, after they pay Flacco 19 million, they won't have enough to field the rest of their team.

 

If you dont want this game in week 1 you are NOT a competitor.

Well it just seems like OUR best has been showing up later in the past few years. But I definitely agree that it would be awesome to go in there and beat them! Your fire is infecting me! LOL.
