“Champions are champions not because they do anything extraordinary but because they do the ordinary things better than anyone else.” - Chuck Noll

That should be tattooed to every players forehead this camp.

Years ago I had the opportunity to watch the Us Open at Oakmont. What I noticed about the great players was not that they made great shots. They just didn't make bad shots. I would think a similar correlation would fit football as well.

This is nothing new. Everyone here has made comments on the lack of basic stuff out on the field over the last several years.

yea but it didn't seem to translate to the field.

with so many new faces on the team and the field, these coaches will have to teach. a lot of these guys had vets here for many years and didn't really have to take the time for teaching the basics always. now they do.

now, we have gone to some older wiser veteran coaches that know how to teach basics. munch, mann, and for the life of me can't remember our RB coaches name. we have a lot , I mean a lot of NFL wisdom coaching around and for MT.

the long timers may have to change their coaching styles a little now without the vets of the past. fundamentals, NFL fundamentals. this may be quite the different type of camp then a lot of our older coaches have been used too in the last 10 years.
