IDK guys,,yesterday was as bad as we seen in awhile ..
How many 3 and outs ,how many punts, ugh!

We need to move the chains control the clock and just line up and punch em in the mouth ..
Dwill and Bell need to rotate and we need to use the speed of coates and browns flat out ability as decoys for awhile .

Back to ground and pound and using the run to set up the pass .
We're not who we thought we were in terms of averaging 30+ a game .

It was going to be bad. Ravens are very good at stopping the run. Steelers were determined to run the ball, to take pressure off Ben. It was a bad idea. Offense didn't get going until it was too late.

We don't have the offensive linemen to go back to smash mouth football. They have "no mean streak" in them. They are like the 2005 Colts offensive line. Just a bunch of finesse, passive players that retreat when they get bunched in the mouth.

We need someone like "Willie Colon, Richie Incognito, Cody Wallace" type attitude road grader mentality.

Those days are in the rear view mirror!!! when you show up for a rival game against a hated rival and lay an egg like Sunday regardless of Bens inept play that tells you a whole lot about the character of this team and no one is fearing this current team like in the past. The Steelers got beat by the school yard bully Ravens just lucky we did not have more injuries.

    AND

    that their secondary can't catch

absolute 3 ints missed by them
not that 3 more interceptions would make some fans look at ben harsher

we would have been ultimately humiliated

How many Super Bowls did Cowher win with his blue collar football?

He won just one but what does that have to do with my comment that we haven't been a Blue Collar football team since the Cowher days. It's a fact. Good, bad or indifferent. The League evolves. There are only a handful of teams that can play that way these days. Dallas hasn't been that way for decades but suddenly they are now. You have to have the personnel and we simply went in a completely different direction during the Tomlin era.

One thing is for certain, You can't just flip a switch and try to be that team again. We simply don't have the guys to do it.

I like our high powered offense but at the moment it is completely suffering mostly due to selfish players. Ben rushing back too soon as if his job is in jeopardy, AB having a me first attitude and Bryant being a stupid stoner.

The same as Tomlin but the only difference is Cowher didn't do it with Tomlin's players. LOL!

People respected and feared Cowher football.
Players trade jerseys after Tomlin games.

Two, if you count 2008. :hehehe:

[Edit: maybe too subtle. I mean the '08 season, when Cowher's players won the SB.]

Yeah this is kinda what i was getting at .
We are not a feared or respected team anymore ,and its kinda sad to see,any QB now is licking his chops at the chance to play our D these days ..

I would gladly take Cowhers 15 years over again

They tried this very thing on Sunday. Didn't work well did it? Tomlin said they played a more conservative game plan to ease Ben back. And this ground and pound approach is fine in certain situations but it cannot be the whole game plan. The issue is if somethings not working and at times of course there are 11 men on the other side you need to make adjustments. We saw what happened. None. This is the issue. That's coaching.
