With the Miami game 40 hours away, L Green put, and a Miami secondary that's a little banged up what are the chances they both log more than 20 snaps? Hamilton has done an outstanding job this year when called upon, and I know he will be on the field. However, watching Ayers the other night, hate to even say this, but he kinda gives you that "AB" feeling. Smaller WR, seems to have good hands ( did drop 1, but I thought I remember reading he only dropped a few his entire senior year?) and runs nice routes. Not saying he is the second coming of AB, but remember AB Was discovered during the playoffs, and well, here we are again. It will be nice to see what DA can do when Ben is out there. Issue is we have AB, Coates ( not sure how much he can still catch?) DHB (ST ace right now) Rogers, Hamilton, Ayers. So, come Sunday, does Ayers factor in much????

I bet Ayers sees plenty of action. He seems to have some skill and he got promoted to the 53 for his performance in practice. He's got some shiftyness and some speed. The Phins' secondary is banged up, we need to try to hit the air game when we can then wear their weaker run D down with Bell.

Agreed, I think he is going to be a player. He ran a slow 40 but looks real fast on the field, and real shifty.

I say take them both and sit DJ unless Professor X can't go then dress DJ but Hamilton is a better blocker than Ayers while Ayers has that sneaky speed for a package with AB and Rogers

Hamstring issues aside, to me he looks like he is running mid to high 4.4s.

Either way, his agility and short area explosive abilities mirror that of a pseudo Antonio Brown. Then again, making life difficult for opposing special teams coverage units usually requires such a skill set.

The kid just looks like he knows what he's doing out there. Some young players look lost. Not him.

He had one during his performance at the combine.

Ohhh, phew, thought you meant he was having issues now.

I knew about the hand problem at the combine, IIRC but didn't know about his hamstring.

I wonder how many receivers they will have active. You could argue that Ayers is the No. 6 receiver now that Coates and Heyward-Bey are back, and they can both contribute on special teams, so maybe Ayers sits?

i agree that he may sit in this one. hamilton and DHB blocking will be a good thing for bell. they are both very good at it as wr's. ben is more accustom to those two than ayers.

Ayers and Hamilton are both good, Does Ayers remind any of Manny Sanders?

Damn were turning into Wide receiver University! What a major strength. If Bryant can put the bong away and come back this crew will be if not now the best receiver group in the NFL.

Agreed. If X is a go don't need DJ. We have Nix and if we need blocking on the line we have Hubbard. There is some talk about using AB in the slot some to try and shake him loose from Miamis coverage scheme and Ayers can play out side receiver and at this point I actually trust him more than DHB and Coates who may be better on the GO routes because of their speed but I prefer Ayers on every other route...I still wanna see Coates out there for a few plays. I just don't see choosing DJ over any of them really...

We seen two games now with Ayers, and I think in each game he got an important pass interference penalty against the defense. He seems to have a knack for this and slowing down enough to have the defender run into him. Plays like a veteran.

Hamilton is built more like a tight end, to me could do some of the things Ladauris Green could do in pass patterns, since I don't think Green will play. Like them both, but different types of players.

I've thought the same thing about Cobi. He just looks like a tight end to me too. I like Ayers quite a bit because he seems really shifty and hopefully he has good hands too.

You can also argue that Hamilton is a starter because that has actually happened here. LOL!

As Tomlin stated this week, we have a #1 receiver. There is no 2, 3, 4 or 5. Everyone else will play.

Hamilton plays more like an undersized TE to my eyes. Might be really useful running the routes they ask Green to run.

I really like what I have seen from Ayers. He looks hungry. Big block on Bells TD in the Ravens game and TD against Browns.

In terms of consistency and moving the chains we know more about what we have in Hamilton. Unless the coaches know something we don't, I'd keep Hamilton on the field.

I think Hamilton will be more of a factor in this game than Ayers, also look for Rogers to have a big game.
