I know he's not a Steeler anymore but, I see on CBS sports that Alejandro Villanueva has retired. Thanks for the, mostly, good memories!

He should have retired last year. Not wearing that puke purple for a wasted season.

Such an amazing story and path he walked to become a starting LT in the NFL. Absolutely incredible.

Even though he became a hated Raven rival, I will always have the utmost respect for him!

Where was the outrage when he went the the hated crows?

He was a DE. Munchak made him into a quality LT.

Like said he should have retired last season but one last money grab he deserved.

I hate the way it ended for him and I didn't agree entirely with the way he handled some things, but I have tremendous respect for Villanueva. He worked to make himself into a hell of a player, but seems like he was an even better person all along.

The funny thing is everyone here knew AV was close to being done, and was an awful fit for Ravens offense.

Did the Ravens FO look at any film? It seemed obvious from the beginning it was a bad signing for them.

Yes I wondered at the time why they did it. He seemed to have little gas left in the tank when he left the Burgh.
