I also loved this show and interestingly the German version was well received in Germany

Did you know the 4 main Nazi characters Klink Schultz Burkhalter and Hochsteter were actually all Jewish

Burkhalter’s parents were exterminated in Treblinka

    (The actors that played them)

Do you mean the actors who played the characters?

Read it again yourself. You wrote "The characters who played them." I assume you meant the actors who played the characters.

Lest anybody else be confused by your error, the actors Werner Klemperer (Klink), John Banner (Schultz), Leon Askin (General Burkhalter), and Howard Caine (Major Hochstetter) were all Jewish.

(By the way, I was responding to a snarky post that Jeh edited upon realizing his error.)

The creator of the show went on to be the producer of The Godfather

"Hogan's Heroes" was loosely based on the Academy award winning movie "Stalag 17".

    “I know Nuth Thiiing!”

A quote that should be used more here.

I turned on the television to a replay of Hogan's Heroes tonight. I tried explaining it to my daughter. She was incredulous at the concept of a comedy set in a Nazi prison camp.

Looking forward to our defense with Samuel going forward. Him and JP should be able to lock it down.

Maybe it was just a job, as Jeh wrote. Maybe some part of him enjoyed being part of something that mocked the Nazis, that saw the prisoners routinely making fools of them.
