I think it’s more Lamar becoming deer in headlights I agree. But to be fair we are dumping on MT and rightfully so for not winning big games and JH is doing the same regardless the reason.

I know that the Steelers aren't one of the elite teams in the AFC.

It's personal preference. I will take a guy that is losing close in big games over a guy who's team collapses yearly. JH is 12-10 in the playoffs. MT is 8-10. In the last 5 years JH is 2-4 in the playoffs and MT is 0-3.

It's funny I read the Ravens board after the Steelers beat them earlier this season, their fans are ready to run Harbaugh out of town complaining because Tomlin has owned him .

Some fans can't get over their hate they say stupid crap on a message board, are you taking Gase, Ebeflus, Hackett, Saleh, Dennis Allen, Antonio Pierce over Tomlin ?

Reminds me of Patriot Bill's early years. Harbaugh got a trade off to his liking while cheating. Keeping the title after the misdeeds. Keeping the title after filming the walk throughs for Patriot Bill. Didn’t film evidence end up disappearing in the Patriot Bill case?

However....living in the present places merit to "He who laughs last, laughs best". Hopefully the Steelers aren't staring down two weeks of totally ugly coming up.

I enjoy going to AFCN boards especially after we beat them. I'd love to have a team like the Eagles but I hear them moaning about things all the time. I think NFL fans are never happy. I wonder what the Dolphin fans would have said during the undefeated season on message boards;)

I read the Ravens board when we are playing them. I'd be hard pressed to check it out if the Steelers would lose out. I can't watch Hard Knocks because of this collapse. It'd have been awesome to watch if we could have somehow won 2 of last 3. Always wanted to see Steelers on HK's, now, never again.

Wonder how many superbowls we would've won if Ken "the Wiz" Whisehunt would've became the HC after Cowher?!

Another Tomlin December skid. What a surprise. I read something like Tomlin is 4th time in 6 years with 3 losses in a row for the month of December

    This is a fact: 2019, 2020, 2023, 2024

Also there’s 2018 when we lost 3 in a row starting November 25; same song starting a week early.

    “But..but..<insert excuse here>”

This can't be a coincidence. So I am going to assume he has a decent football team going into Dec, and then he takes a break, lets up on the gas, and we go back to being mediocre. Just seems so darn bizarre to have a 10-3 team and go into a slide of 3 losses in a row. Sure, we were playing quality opponents, but they looked like crap in every one of those games. I don't think we beat the Bengals the second time around, so let's just call it a four-game skid.

Yep, my thought too. Jim is a proven A-, B+ coach. He's taken teams to SB and to national championships. The man knows how to coach/put together a staff/motivate/discipline enough that he makes Tomlin look like Elmer Fudd.
John, probably lingering in same tier as Tomlin and Marvin Lewis. A solid coach, with flaws, that seems to underachieve in the big moments, just like Tomlin and Lewis. All can put up good regular seasons (yeah, yeah, John had a losing record a time or two), but come time for the big games late in year...turtled.

I don't like his personality that much, Jim, but I don't hate it and I'd do a friggin dance if we got him and punted Tomlin. Heck, I'd do a dance if we got Rex Ryan and punted Tomlin.

...and I can't stand Tomlin as a head coach.

I'd rather have Jim and his sometimes off-putting antics and his winning, than Tomlin the bestus buddy who looks like a deer-in-the-headlights in December and January.

I can understand the dislike, but when a guy takes a college program that historically and made it a winner, took a team to the SB, won a naty at Michigan, then in one year turns around a pro program that has underperformed...if you cannot admit he has coaching skills then you are blind.

Jim might be better but John is the same thing. Raven fans talk about him the same as Steelers fans talk about Tomlin.
