Our D giving up 300 yards passing to Kiser should have been an omen.

Ummm most of the game the Starting defense was playing sans Heyward...for not a missed catch by the clowns they would have won their first game. And that defense was invisible against the jags. Invisible. Zero sacks! Where was this overrated sack machine? But don't fret, the whole staff will be back intact to make it right next year. Any year now, any year...

And who took over more of the defensive play calling this year? Our great head coach, that's who. As I have said for years, he is nothing more than a position coach.

Fire Tomlin, get any coach that will hire wade phillips as DC to rebuild the D. Our offense has never been a problem even with some slumps, we need a devastating defense.

Look at the teams in the championship games, really only NE was known for their offense (Philly regressed with foles). Minn, Philly & Jags are all built on defense. Hell even NE D plays fantastic, how do you think Brady gets the ball back all the time.

Yet we have a supposed defense minded head coach that destroyed our defensive mindset since Dick left. We are soft as S#it and no one respects our D. AB, BB & Bell can score on anyone we just need a mediocre defense, not that garbage we have now.

If our offense had been more consistent and lived up to its billing, we'd have placed a lot of pressure on opposing offenses to score to stay even with or catch up to us. That tends to make them one-dimensional, and that makes defending against them much easier.

The defense has not scared anyone and has been a throw of the dice every game "even when Shazier was healthy"

This is what's so infuriating... How can NE lose a lot of their key starters yet somehow always compensate and adapt? It's their damn coaches. We lose anybody and just pack it in, our coaches can't adapt.

Doesn' matter tbh because this defense can' stop the run nor pass as it currently stands..
