good to hear and seems like quite the departure from the last few years. a lot more QB freedom to check out of plays. not sure if this will overwhelm fields or not. maybe it helps see the defense. at least pre snap. concepts seem very QB friendly. not really dummied down but helpful to where they have to focus per play.

This offence will suit the personnel that the Steelers have and it should be exciting to watch once they settle in, there are new players at QB and across thr offensive line so it will take some time to gel

The ceiling is probably quite low in all honesty but I expect it to be significantly better than the dark days of the Canada era

 

I think all 4 major sports have same situation. NHL and NBA I believe have highest amount who make Playoffs.

doesn't matter anymore.

most of the teams are 'middle of the pack' - most are bubble teams - one play, one bad officiating call, one game - from being that 9-8, 10-7 team.

the miserable middle of the league, if you will (where we are)

for example, if anyone thinks teams are terribly worried seeing US on their schedule b/c we 'made the playoffs', well they are not.

it is another game on the schedule.

I thought the Steelers moved the ball pretty well in Smith's offense. They only came away with 12 points but left a lot points on the field. Allen overthrew Austin on a sure TD, Tomlin doesn't challenge a first down catch in the red zone, Fields and Herbig having exchange problems, the dropped punt by Watkins etc.
