Arthur Smith stopped letting Russell Wilson change plays

You can't tie a VET QB hands like that.Tomlin agreed to this ? Makes me sick

 

Dulac's 'source' on this story was Wilson's agent. They've been connected ever since Wilson visited PIT in the offseason.

If this is true, that Art Smith didnt let a future HOF QB , 13 yr vet , make any adjustments or audibles, this is exactly what is wrong with our coaches. I have coached a lot of sports and it didnt matter what I wanted to do, I had tailor the game to my talent. If Art cant do this, he is the wrong man for the job. Sometimes coaches, who arent on the field think they know better, thats just ego or stupidity. If Tomlin didnt step in and support the player, this is also wrong. I do get play calling to set up future plays, but in the 4th quarter when you are trailing, the game plan is basically gone. If our coaches cant scheme for the talent thats on this team, are they really coaches or are they CEO's that think they have all the answers?

 

I would take this story with a grain of salt who benefits the most from this is Russell Wilson.
