he had flashes of the 100+ yard INT to end the first half… would have been cool though to end both halves with 100 yard INTs

Good thing this draft has three pretty darn good ones!

Of the three though?! One stands out above the rest.

I remember that play like it was yesterday. I had a handful of friends over for the SB, and I was the only Steelers fan. When that play happened they all looked at me, clearly expecting me to be apoplectic. Instead I just grinned and said “they left Ben too much time.”

I didn't say it out loud, but that was exactly the thought that went through my head. Once they overcame the holding penalty with two great plays by Roethlisberger throwing to Holmes in traffic, I felt confident that they would at least tie the game. My only concern was them scoring quickly and Warner winning it in the final seconds. I didn't fully relax until Woodley forced the fumble and Keisel fell on it.

People forget how big Woodley was for us in the playoffs, and SB that year. He just got way too fat, and happy, or content.

Woodley was a beast, especially in the playoffs. It really was a shame to see him stop putting in the work and tank his career early.

The one thing I loved about the Khan interview at the combine was the fact that he kept dropping Arthur Smith's name.

What going to happen when the QBs? ...Arthur Smith...
Are you going to pickup Najee's option? ...Arthur Smith...
What offensive players are you looking for in the draft? ...Arthur Smith...

I think this offense can take a giant step forward if they can keep Mike Tomlin out of the offensive decisions this year.

I Think it’s one of Tomlins greatest weakness as a HC, the staffs he assembles.

But on this one, I think it was more a team policy not to fire coaches under contract. A policy that long predates Tomlin.

    it is for MT.

at least Cowher made changes.....many OC changes in his tenure. have to look at contracts and when those changes occurred.

Tomlin is a go along to get along guy. it's his personality. he needs to be liked.

Canada was the first coach under contract that was fired since around 1947 I think.
