Arthur and/or receivers are why we lost

Wish there was a way we could see what the average time was Rodgers had the ball until he left it fly. And then compare it to sacks.

I’ve felt like I’ve been in the Twilight Zone since the summer when, seemingly, half the fanbase defended the WR corps & the decision to stand pat & not replace Pickens. ESPECIALLY, coming off last season when they did the same damn thing & refused to replace Dionte Johnson.

If they had decided to rebuild, then fine. But, to make all those moves & to give the impression that they were all in on winning, only to completely neglect the WR position, never made ANY sense, whatsoever.

You have to have playmakers in this era & can’t rely on TEs to replicate the impact & production of a legit WR2/WR3. Settling on CAIII & a rotating cast of practice squad level WRs was utter & complete incompetence. And, topping it off with the most basic, predictable offense in the NFL is just the chef’s kiss of ignorance & stupidity.

This staff & FO are terrified of their own collective shadows & I pray that I’ve seen the last game with them in charge. I, personally, won’t spend another penny on anything Steelers related until some REAL changes are made. I know it’s irrelevant & makes no difference, at all. But, idc. I’m livid & there aren’t many other ways to make an impact, even if it’s as minuscule as it gets.

He would've opened the field way more for Metcalf, Muth and most importantly our running game. Extend drives, not gas out our D and so on. It's a trickle down affect, was it ever going to be enough for us to progress in the playoffs??? There was always going to be a problem with our highest paid D in the league, giving up chunk plays on the run

We were down by only one point going into 4th quarter. Defense needs to see the offense doing something, not just helping the opposition score.

Won't a new coach want to bring in his own coordinators? I don't see Austin or Smith being coaches next year. Of course, like with Cowher and Tomlin in their first years, the front office will probably be making most of the personnel decisions.

At least we won't have to watch Arthur Smith crappy offense next season.

And if one of them got hurt, we'd still have an NFL WR.

I disagree re: defensive pay. We don't pay a QB. So there was more than enough money to keep Pickens. Especially through the end of his rookie deal (this season).
