If that is what you think it just shows your ignorance for Steelers football

I may not agree with Rooney’s approach but I do know he wants to win as much as the real fans

How can an owner stand by a coach who says this after a humiliating loss

"When you’re unsuccessful, you can look back and make a lot of those types of judgments. We don’t live like that. We don’t live in our fears. We don’t second-guess. We live. I stand by whatever decisions or play selections or ball distributions we had today."

It’s tough right now because what we’ve known as Steelers football has kind of disappeared. I can handle the losses just fine, but the way this team has looked as of late is pretty much unacceptable.
People are frustrated myself included, but some of these are claims about Rooney are just idiotic.

The point of the season is to win a Super Bowl, not just win playoff games, not just have winning seasons, not just make the playoffs. As far as I'm concerned, Cowher went 14 years with no success. Noll did nothing for 12 years, and Tomlin has don nothing for 15 years.

That being said, no team wins without a QB. Noll failed for 12 years to find someone after Bradshaw, Cowher failed for 13 years until Ben. Tomlin has had 2 years. Why is his leash so much shorter at finding a QB than the other two guys?

Not the whole issue, no. But it certainly seems to be a part of it.

Really what is Steelers football ? I’ll tell you it’s celebrating average seasons while never improving at all and pretending your a royal franchise cause they hire from within and keep coaches way to long

Continuity is only as good as what you're trying to continue. The organization's vision, ethos, etc has become stale.

If Art doesn't want fire Tomlin, then kick him upstairs to the executive offices.

Art is an empty suit. NOT a football guy at all, which is ok, but is not a good leader to recognize the issues that have been in place since Jags playoff loss and Make the changes needed

He's happy threatening to make the playoffs or sneaking in n getting bounced in short order, that's a "good" season

No, making a legit run at a SB was AND SHOULD BE the goal period again quickly

Because I’m loyal and not gonna pretend to route for another team I’m simply pointing out the Steelers are spinning their wheels and going nowhere with no end in sight

Well because, Tomlin had a HOF QB for most of his tenure and the majority of people believe he squandered many of those years by underachieving with the talent he had and runs a lose locker room where **** fell apart (AB, Harrison, Bell, etc). Cowher didn't have a HOF QB until the very end and managed to get to two Super Bowls and deep into the playoffs with patchwork QB's. Now that he's been here 15 years, the expiration date has been reached. Time to move on. ARe you good giving 10 more years, 5 more years to find a QB. If so why, he had Ben and and some amazing talent with it and underachieved.

Them underachieving is a matter of opinion. NE was the better team in most years.

The same argument can be made. Why did Cowher take so long to find Ben? Cowher had better defenses that were squandered.

So now were blaming the owner.. next up, the grounds keeper (that guy is a bum)

The owner's job is to let his people run the franchise.
I've been around the Rooney's for nearly 60 years. I've never heard a conversation that foes like "How can I make my team more mediocre?"
Of course, he wants to win.

I expect Art has had conversations with his football guys, it is what you do when your business is not doing well.
'The Chief' probably would have handled it better, no doubt.

You can't penalize Cowher for building a much better defense when he was our head coach. He made 6 AFC title games in his career(only 3 for Tomlin), 4 with O'Donnell and Stewart. When he had Ben, the Steelers were unstoppable for the first two years when Ben was healthy...27-4 including the playoffs with a super bowl

He's the owner. He should have fired Canada a long time ago. There is every reason to fire him today. Send a message, let someone else try calling plays, do something other than continue with a historically horrid offense. I know he cares, I know he wants to win, I know he's not stupid... but his inaction when it's so desperately needed doesn't support any of that.
