I never said they didn't, just that they complained about it.

Settle down? Lol it always cracks me up that people will defend the Rooney's like they are royalty. They made a lot of their fortune off gambling, yeah real noble.

You are correct. I read it wrong.

Now, are you directing your thought towards the original construction or the addition?

Actually for NFL owners they have been pretty damn special. How would you like the Brown's ownership to take over the Steelers? Everything comes from the top including decades of consecutive losing seasons.

As for tax-payer dollars to go to new seats <<<which would be a joke because the seats they have their are FINE. 1) tax payer dollars shouldn't be going to pay for multi-million dollar owners and 2) the seats don't need replaced but that's their prerogative what they want to do with them.

People should call these people out for getting anything from the tax payer though.. Not to get political but should be obvious.

I guess it's ok here to trash the Rooneys if they don't fire the coaches you want fired, but it's not ok to trash them for reaching into the taxpayers wallet and taking what they like?

The addition. It was absurd because it was like a couple hundred thousand dollars which is a drop in the bucket for an NFL owner.

No, they will be picking at #32... but Kraft/Belichick will trade all of their remaining picks in 2021 and 22 to get the #1 overall.

I wouldn't go that far. They are special, in that they are level-headed enough to stay the course, knowing that with consistency comes a stronger franchise.

That being said, they are also hard-headed in that regard as consistently bashing your head against a brick wall doesn't yield positive results.

Understood. If I’m remembering correctly, there was an agreement in place for any additions which was put in place when the stadium was built. I could see wanting to stick to what was agreed to. That’s from some very old gray cells so I may be mistaken.

Rooney called the 2018 season in which the Steelers finished 9-6-1 and out of the playoffs as “tough to swallow.”

It is tough to swallow when you blow chunks lol

He's was right on about the special teams. Last year, we made those kicks and won games. This year it didn't. Not to mention the other shoddy special teams performance.

9-6-1 could have been easily been at least 11-4-1

Consistency is great when it produces results, but when it doesn't and you stick with something just because... that's insanity.

You are what your record says you are right? Woulda ,coulda ,shoulda. A team with this talent has no business losing some of the games they lost. Blaming a missed FG or 2 as to reasons we lost to a few of those teams is laughable and doesn't even come close to explaining away the losses.

I’m torn. I don’t expect our owner/club president to be as riled as the fans, but neither do I think he should seem satisfied with the team’s performance this season. I thought he walked that middle ground.

I’m really hoping there are more changes coming.

Yup, Art II talked about a few breaks putting then at 9-6-1 instead of a better record, but he was also quickk to point out the they were 13-3 in 2017.
Well Art, you got a few breaks in 2017, if not for a name FG or two, you might have missed the playoffs or missed the bye. Stuff happens, balls bounce, players, coaches and refs screw up, life is a ***** and you die. You are what your record says, and this yr it said 7th seed in a 6 team AFC playoff field.

Not sure why you’re calling me out?
I’m actually surprised you’re still allowed to post here after that post you made about me a week or so ago that got deleted. You know the one where you cussed me out?
Guess you thought I didn’t see it. Just keep it about the Steelers and stop with the name calling.

I'm not well versed in city politics and maybe wrong in my thinking here but from a discussion earlier in the year about franchise worth and so on that the stadium has a management group something like the Allegheny regionAL Sports Authority and they actually manage the stadium which is why you have Pitt and high school tourneys there. So without seeming like I'm defending the Rooney''s they might not have been allowed to do what they want with the stadium and it might have been city government that tied up things in red tape.
