I was referring to those of us who wanted a change and think it could help the team improve. Probably wont know until this time next year but if they get worse I'll man up and say I was wrong.

NP, I just hope that some decorum is shown here. I wnated a change but I will not be dancing on the guy's grave so to speak. Change needed to be made in my opinion now it has been.

if they get worse is because tomlin bring someone worse than arians difficult but not impossible , at least we are trying to improve , and is clear that was a rooney decision

Wow. Well - I guess we'll see now what happens. We've enjoyed a lot of success as a team with BA as the OC. That doesn't mean he was right for the job - just a statement of fact.

    Onward and upward.

I'll admit to being a BA blamer for the past couple years. I hope I was right. Sounds like Fitchner is in line for the promotion, but hopefully they open it up for some interviews at least.

Well, I have to admit I'm pretty stunned. I thought he'd be around for another year. Hopefully this will stop everything from turning into a FBAI argument. Hopefully. ;-)

I can't say that I really liked the guy, but we never know what happens behind closed doors. Did they try to run the ball more in pre-season practice and realized with our line that wasn't going to happen.

The part I didn't like was he never changed anything up...other then the NE game. Always bunch left, bunch right....you would think that with our line struggles in the beginning of the season they would roll Ben out of the pocket a dozen times a game (Like Denver did with Elway)....Ben is usually money out of the pocket.

The other thing was 3rd down and short yardage with an empty backfield. Might as well beg the defense to send everyone.

Heres to the next OC.....lets hope he help bring #7

The internet buzz was right. If he hadn't "retired" on his own, Art II would have done it for him. :swordsman:

But on a more solemn note, this will be my last :FBAI!: smilie.

I was checking both PGH papers. The Trib had it on some of the tweeter feeds but no story yet, the PG had it like 10-15 minutes after the announcement. Facebook has it up now as well.

Edit: The Trib has crashed so I think Steeler fans went nuts on there.

Edit 2: The NFL website has it now.

I hope he enjoys his retirement and makes the most of it.

I'm not going to comment on the whole controversy. I've stated my opinion in the past. But regardless of what anyone's opinion is, it has to be a stressful job. Enjoy the rest of your life, Coach. You deserve it. :good:

Right - I've been looking for an actual STORY - and none of the major sports websites has it yet - or at least didn't have it when I last checked. We jumped on this news pretty early. Go figure.
