Bruce Arians is heading to Hawaii among Ben Roethlisberger’s Pro Bowl guests, but is he gone from the Steelers for good? The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Friday that the offensive coordinator’s departure could be announced in his absence this weekend, the apparent reason being that “others in the organization did not want [Arians] back.”

Wow. This issue has taken on a life of its own. Hard to believe that he'll be back next year, considering that we knew almost immediately after the playoff loss that LeBeau would be back, and that Rooney wouldn't confirm anything concerning his return or retirement.

Art Rooney II on DVE Morning Show on when Bruce Arians' status as OC for the 2012 season might be resolved: "As soon as today, possibly."

If that's the case, then I would think that he's gone. If Rooney is saying "resolved" on DVE, he's most likely not saying that they're going to announce a new contract for him. He's out of town, for Pete's sake.

LOL quick change the locks while he is gone plus if he is with Ben in Hawaii that means Ben can't talk to the PGH media about it. Sounds like a PR move to me. :roflmao:

HA! I didn't even notice that. They need to make a decision one way or another so that we can get back to normal!!

I started the one about the Derrick Williams tweet and that couldn't dent the BA stuff

Well, I for one want him gone, but they shouldn't do it while he is traveling with Ben to the Pro Bowl unless that is what he wants. To be away from the press so he doesn't have to answer questions. If he is gone, they need to do it ASAP so they can get someone else in the door.
