Based on brady being stupid? He can't even throw deep anymore and there's still plays called every ten yards for pass.

What you want Byron to do? Call a game on short stuff?

Also first brady int. As well he was #3 in yards fur the season. And they can punch it in for the redzone.

Y'all got to stop just looking at the scoreboards. Look at the plays called.

.... I'm on a rival forum for the nfc-s. Not a single one on there is blaming Leftwich. They're all saying Brady is just meh now.

Good friend of mine is a long time Buccaneers fan and says he likes Leftwich. Thinks Bowles has kind of put the clamps on him this year. For what it's worth.

@jeh1856 even if this was a fumble. Announcers said a great route. That's nothing on Byron..... oh yeah forgot to turn my caps lock on.

Buccs back to Tom not knowing where Evans is. That has throw was horrid. Evans wasn't even in the area. The play before was even on Tom throwing it barely over the head of the defender.

There were personnel decisions that were made above Leftwich's paygrade that really hurt the team coming out of their SB run. They choose Fournette over Jones even though there was a lot or wear on him. Signed Julio but I don't think he ever found the right fit for him. Their top tandem at WR couldn't stay healthy and Brady has no arm anymore. If fans are complaining it's probably to make him the scapegoat instead of making the goat the focus of why they fell off a cliff.

I can see Leftwhich being added as the Pass Game Coordinator. If we was going to fire Canada, it would've happened already.

I love that he'll take pickett to the next level. But really don't like he ditched the run game.

I'd say the Steelers are waiting to see who is available as an OC.

There are quite a few HC openings and lots of people interviewing in lots of places. The prudent thing would be to wait till the coaching dominos start to fall.

Is it fair to Canada? Well he's not getting another NFL coordinator gig anyways.

Is there any guarantee that he'll take Pickett to the next level? The only QB I know that he worked with has been Brady. What's his past like?

    Blaine gabbert has followed him.
Brady threw an insane amount his first year.

However all in Tampa he has avoided the rushing game.

Big ben mentioned start of pickett career he would have pickett throw for 10 yard on every down. And that's pretty much what Byron Leftwich does.

In 2018 he had a chance to develop Josh Rosen and then in 2019 he had Jameis Winston. He got fired from both of his jobs as an OC. He just may be better suited as a QB coach at this stage and an OC down the road. I'm not really convinced he's better than what we have from a play design standpoint as well as calling plays and developing QB's. This isn't an endorsement of Canada, this is more of concern of Lefty. Frankly, I think Dobbs can be a better option as a player... coach if we can get him to come back. Ben loved having him around for a reason.

Only reason I didn't discuss 2019 was because winston was not someone he groomed...... but that was Winston most yards with over 5100.

    So that's impressive as well.

But is it though??? I'm not convinced that Lefty was the one calling the plays and really didn't call plays until this year. His only shot at grooming a QB was Josh Rosen and that failure is probably more on Rosen though.

Let me see if I understand this. The bucs go from scoring 30ppg when Leftwhich was using training wheels, drop to 18ppg without, and some steeler fans want to hire him. Smdh

My thoughts exactly. He failed in Arizona and has failed again. Plus there's no tangible evidence that he can develop Pickett and take him to the next level (not saying he can't or won't.) I personally think there's far better candidates out there for both tasks of having an explosive offense and developing Pickett.

I saw plenty of games this weekend where receivers were coming open due to schemes. I didn’t see that at Tampa. Everything was contested or receivers came open on broken play. The offense reminded me of when Steelers had Joe Walton as OC. Granted Brady played terrible and has lost his fastball but rest of the offense was meh. Nothing to tell me that I should go out and get that OC
