Yeah and there will probably eventually be a drinking game for every time an announcer says the name of an NBA player that you can barely pronounce. LOL. I'm with you on the London thing too.

This slide actually started on the run up to SB45. And it reared its ugly head, in that game.

Things that make you go hummm ... then a couple months after that game, Tomlin was supposedly ready to draft Pryor. :hmmm:

We only need to win 7 of the next 9 to have a winning record. Okay, yes I do think we are done. We stink. I mean really stink. We stink worse than a women's bathroom at an Activia yogurt shop!!! Now that really stinks!

    :eek!:

The Grand Canyon is smaller than the deductive leap I think you're making. I could be misunderstanding, of course.

It's just my two cents, of course. However, we had some great playoff games, that year. But something felt off. Then in SB45 the play was just sloppy on offense. I think the defense was mostly okay.

The following year the Steelers get Tebowed in the first round of the playoffs. (Giants top Pats in SB46)

Then next year the Steelers don't make the playoffs, but were in the wild card race, IIRC. (Ravens top 49ers in SB47)

This year it appears the Steelers may not even sniff the playoffs. But I hope they find a way to right the ship and get to the post-season.

There are many reasons the Steelers are not a good team, right now. However, the most glaring issue (besides the No-Line) seems to be the defense has gone from stifling, to great, to good. Meanwhile, the offense is just as impotent as it always has been, if not more so. The defense is going to give up some scores, here and there. If the offense could find a way to put up 24-27 points, per game, then that would probably solve the problem. But the No-Line has been deteriorating since BA's last couple seasons, IIRC. And that issue is going to keep the offense stifled, to an extent. So, when Ben does get time, then they have to maximize on those opportunities.

    HINES,

I think I can speak for the rest of the folks here in saying just how much we truely appreciate this post of yours. Based on last night, it looks like you succeeded in putting the Hex back on the Bengals once again.

Thanks again for a job well done !!

everytime it looks like they are done the other teams in their division slip. the Bengals could have all but buried the Steelers last night, but they left the door open just a bit.

the Steelers have done nothing to lead me to believe they are gonna turn things around against the Pats, but every week i watch hoping that they do.

luckily for them the AFC is pretty week this year, but i still think the only way they make the playoffs is by winning their division.

a win and they move to 3-5 with a quality win in their pocket. a loss and they are 2-6 and pretty much done i would think.

Well other than giving HINES a hard time, there was only 3 things of significance that I know of that happened before the Bengals loss ...
    1. Mesko was cut
    2. HINES made his post
    3. TTF had a Landry Jones avatar

Now apparently it looks like TTF is willing for us to risk a loss to find out if his Landry Jones avatar had anything to do with it or not.

BTW, IMO if Landry Jones had some hair, a moustache, and a hat, he might be able to pass for Guido Sarducci. Anyone else see a resemblance? :lolol:
