a couple weeks ago i posted a thread saying stick a fork in us,,,, and i was blasted... so i have to ask are we done yet? here is the problem as much as i hate to say this being fro cincinnati and hating the bengals.. it seems years are we would always find a way to WIN .... the bengals on the other hand always found a way to lose the close games.. unfortunately the tide has turned.. .. we are now the team that finds a way to lose and the bengals find a way to win.. like it or not those are the cold hard facts.. pass me the fork please

Are you kidding? maybe 4 more wins at best, maybe. this team is not smart, careless and lacks heart, just like their leader.

I don't see it. Most of us thought we'd beat the Raiders and we were even favored to do so. At this point, I think 6-10 is a stretch. I think we have the talent to be fairly competitive, but I don't think our coaching staff has a clue.

    I didn't.
If you pay attention to recent Steelers history, they have real problems playing against Oakland, particularly in Oakland. Every time Oakland is an inferior team and the Steelers should ***** slap them, but they always seem to sabotage themselves despite being better.

So that is the definition of hope? Playing strong to get to 8-8 and snagging the last WC in a weak AFC?

Ok, I guess that's what's left. But honestly, I'd be surprised somebody didn't get 9-7, and after loses to Tn, Oak, and Min, wins over Buf, Det ,Cle (2x), and at Bal are not a given.

But hey, believe, I won't poop in your corn flakes.

    Not gonna win the Division.
KC or Denver has the one Wild Card.

I didn't see today's game as I was at Kings Dominion riding roller coasters with family. From what I have read though, it's the same old same old. This team isn't going anywhere until changes are made.

This team has no business even sniffing the playoffs, and if they did it would be a blow out in the first 5 minutes. I see us 6-10 if we are lucky!

I'd actually argue that we have a better chance of beating the Packers, Patriots, and Bengals at home while losing to the rest. It is an indubitable truth that we actually play decent against good opponents, and are absolutely wretched against teams we should beat.

The New England game should prove interesting in that respect (in that a train derailment is 'interesting.') The Pats haven't been dominant, but they still have strategic gameplanning and Tom Brady, and the ability to score points rapidly when they need them. Our defense could be in for a very long afternoon. I'm willing to bet whatever the opening line is on the game won't be high enough, and yet we've yet to get truly blown out (the Bears game notwithstanding as we were in it late). Without that true butt-kicking (ala Giants losing 38-0 to the Panthers), I think this team still believes it is better than they are. Looking forward to the game, albeit with very low expectations.

Zombieland Rule #32 "Enjoy The Little Things" ...
Well since Markice is on IR, he won't likely be traveling or getting served papers while in New England like Mike Pouncey did. :lolol:

AFC West will get 2 wild cards this year, 3 teams in the playoffs. San Diego needs 5 wins to get to 9-7, and they still have the Raiders at home, Skins, Dolphins, and Giants. Then they just need to sneak one from KC, who's winning, but not as dominant, or the Bungles at home.

they were typical steelers wins.. we win by 3 we lose by 3.. if you look at my posts in the preseason i said get ready for a ton of 16-13 games.. loks like i was right again.. and i know how much you guys hate that.. and some of you still think we will make the playoffs.. lol can you really be that stupid.. ? i said we would finish 5-11.. i may have been too optimistic on that..

I said the same BFT although not on record I think. I mean all the lip service of getting WJ more involved, a healthy (at one time) line with a bit more experience, a new exciting rookie in Bell and drafting Wheaton and Moye... Coupled with some successful game play logic before Ben's injury etc... I thought we'd be primed. I figured the D would be half decent but ya know, both sides of the ball producing the same old same inept ability have called yonder declaration into question.

These boys really have no consistent identity at this point for varying reasons but looked in the least bit pretty hopeful sounding coming out of the gates.

We are done yes.. I hate to say it this early because it is already a season wasted and Ben may not have that many left. Thats what sucks the worst to me. I hate it for Ben.
Already raising questions for the offseason is going to make for a hell of a long season...
