I’d like to see if he’s still chipping his teeth about the Steelers.

    Ryan Clark does!!

Not to worry good sir! Ryan will let him and the rest of the ESPN crew know. Yes, he did pick against the Steelers.. but he was, is and will always be a Steeler to me; no matter what.

Give Shannon Sharpe a call while you're at it. He empathically said Kenny was not the guy this week.

Is he??? I mean he might be, but hard to get excited over one TD pass.

Jury is still out on Pickett. While Canada has been a disaster, Pickett has not helped his cause much this year overall. Today was a good step in the right direction though!

For me, Kenny needs to string together proficient, consistent performances to silence his critics. Now, part of this will be on him to get back to not just improving his Pocket Presence but also Pocket Poise. Once he can do both, he should be smooth sailing ahead for the most part.

I don't disagree on Shannon questioning if Kenny can play. I do disagree on Shannon Sharpe writing him off.

Some of you are hilarious. He has quite a few passes since last year that any idiot can see as well as that desire and clutch factor.

He was okay today, but he has a long way to go to prove himself. He didn't see some open receivers and made a poor throw on the third down before the field goal. Pickett needs to play better.

Kenny looked like absolute dog **** until the last drive and fly pattern 1 on 1 because the Ravens were not expecting them to throw deep. It’s a step in the right direction but come on. To be fair to KFP our offense game-plan and play calling do him absolutely 0 favors.

Pickett has a hard time going through progressions and stepping up in the pocket. Once again to be fair to him the play calling and O Line do him little favors normally although I thought the OLine was better today.

Steeler total O production 13 pts, Ravens 2 dropped TD passes...Yes we won and I am happy, but to laud Kenny is non-sense.

I have to agree. I’m as frustrated as anyone at Pickett, but I sincerely believe he and any young player in need of development is being hampered by this coaching staff.

If Picket was drafted to the 49ers I doubt he’d be regressing at all and his ceiling would automatically rise.

It’s only other worldly naturally gifted players that show out here. Especially since Ben was clearly past his peak. AB, Watt, etc… These guys were top tier hard workers in every aspect of the game. If Watt wasn’t raised in his football family and relied on development by the Tomlin’s staff I don’t believe he’d be the best defensive player in the league.

Nonsense is saying "one pass". He's got more than one can count and hasn't played a year yet. Terry Bradshaw's opinion or the opinion of an anonymous non-pro athetle on the internet??? hahaha! See ya.

I watched one play the telecast had of a replay when KFP did NOT scan the field on a play where his first read was covered and he still had a pocket. He looked from one sideline - skipped the entire middle of the field - then to the other sideline where there was nothing open - and then to the middle but it resulted in a sack. There was an open receiver who ran a skinny slant into a large gap in the zone past the sticks about 10-15 yards from the LOS.

Pickett does NOT seem to be getting coached well, or he’s not a great student, or it’s just not translating yet in year two.

Juju said he learned more about offensive football during one year in KC than the 5 in western PA.

    FML…!

This here is what so many scouts want from QBs nowadays. The complete athletic profile with a literal Missile Launcher of an arm to go along with it. That said, while there are more and more of these types of QBs coming out; how often do they pan out?! Now of course, it is still way to early to speculate now as the current paradigm of the NFL Offense is changing rapidly before our very eyes. That said, to complement this new wave of QBs... a team needs a creative Offensive mind; be that as the Head Coach or the Offensive Coordinator.

What Kenny needs is an OC who not only will build around his talents but the weapons around him by placing them in winnable matchups. If there are no matchups that can be won, that is where the OC must be able to consistently combat the problem and adapt to the changing problems both efficiently and proficiently. Matt Canada is clearly neither and sadly, for whatever reason, either Tomlin or AR II are intent on keeping him.

Until Canada leaves.... Pickett will continue to fight an uphill battle.

This. What I find interesting is how quick some are in responding to one play, series, game..in this case KP. Following a chat feed on YT some said bench him, others were like this OP still ready to crown him as the next coming. I'm with you, we won't know what he is under Canada, and in fact may be hampered and in fact never develop. I never personally said he won't or cannot be the guy, but look across the NFL landscape and little time to get it right from both a team and individual perspective. KP has to get better, he has this and next year, at then end of the 3rd year the team has to make a decision on the 5th year option, that's guaranteed money and it is not cheap. The previous 2 years the team has not picked up that option, and it is in the best interest of the team to do everything to see if KP is that guy. He had a couple of good throws today, but also some bad, very bad, and questionable decision making. I don't blame it all on him, but the clock is ticking.

How about the other clutch throws, KFP is not a superstar but still has
3 comeback wins in 1full season with an incompetent play caller/OC
And ****ty OL and no running game.

    Absolutely.

Pickett, I am sure, knows the clock is ticking. Personally, I still do believe in him. Just disappointed from what he has shown, that he can control, thus far this season. His Pocket Presence is all over the place, his Pocket Poise is erratic and his accuracy (something that was his biggest strength) is seemingly now a weakness.

All of these are correctable problems but Pickett better step it up to do so. He hasn't got a lot of time and the next slate of games, starting with the Rams, isn't going to be getting any easier.

Nobody is responding to one game. You're disingenuously painting that picture because you have an agenda you're pushing. Ive said he's our guy since last year, so save me that trash.

Not disputing that, and the complaints against Canada are justified in part of his regression, but it's a 60 minute game, and he needs to be better.

Dude I never said he was not the guy, but despite TB's glorious praise or your blind adulation, right now we have a problem on offense, and part of that problem is KP's inconsistencies and bad decisions. I hope he and they can fix them, but I won't stick my head in the sand and pretend he is that guy right now. Can he be, sure and I hope so, but right now he is not, and if not corrected he won't be.
