This. I think I cared about it when I was in my twenties until I realized it doesn't mean :bscow:

I am relaxed. If I see a Browns fan (don't know that I've seen anyone wearing any Browns stuff around St. Louis in over ten years) and they talk any smack to me cause I'm a Steeler fan I'll just laugh at them. Sorry to me they are not legit yet.

Agree. They have'nt won anything, Yet their fans act like they are dominating every team they play.Until they win anything meaningful, Too me their just pretenders playing decent football at the moment. That's it!!

Let the clown fans have their fun, it's not like this happens every year, it's like once out of every 20 years. Think of the punishment they've been taking for decades!!, we can take it for 1 or 2 years. When the earth re-alines with the sun again, then the Clowns will be back to where they belong.

This is pretty much how I feel. First let me say I am not a smack talker. Its just not who I am. I could care less what the other teams are doing. I worry about what the Steelers are doing and, if I have something to say about another team, its to my family members who are all Steelers fans.

One way to shut them up, is to beat them twice this year, the clowns will implode soon enough, unlikely they will win enough games to make the playoffs, weeden isn't exactly a top 5 QB, let them talk, they have never been to a superbowl let alone win one, we need to beat them to shut them up, lets hope we do just that.....

I don't begrudge them their right to talk smack. I don't toss around the "meaningless game" phrase because I think all games in the season are meaningful. However, I'm not sure I would call their turnaround "quick" as it has taken them how many years and how many top draft picks to be decent?

Every dog has its day. We have been on top for a long time and it's now somebody eles's turn. It was Baltimore last year and now it's the Browns. I drove through Cincinnati this past weekend and stop at a gas station with my steelers gear on. Only one person said anything to me. And he just said "yall having a rough year" and I replied "yeah but we will turn it around in a few years".

The reality is that we can't stay on top forever. Somebody in our division will take the reigns and we will have to build back up again.

We all talk smack when we are winning. I know I've done my share to a point I get people calling me that I haven't heard from in years because the Steelers are finally losing. What goes around comes around.

It's funny to me how your hate for teams changes based on a number of factors.

I'm actually rooting for the Browns. I've never had the hate for them that a lot of people on here do. I respect their fans because they're some of the most loyal in sports.

I hate the Bengals... And people here in Cincinnnati are the biggest bunch of bandwagon jumpers that's out there.

I have yet to meet a single Browns fan here in Richmond, VA so I never hear anything. There are a few Ravens fans but they're not that bad really. I kinda feel bad for the Skins fan here though. They loyally fill up that stadium year after year and their team keeps disappointing them. You think Tomlin gets criticized? Shanahan gets hammered by the fans and the media down here.

One of my best friends is a Browns fan. After the Bears loss, he said to me, "What the hell is up with the Steelers???"

It wasn't trash talk. It was shock.

When I say quick turnaround Jim I'm speaking more about with in the context of the season. One minute it looks like they are having a fire sale and everything must go and the next they are winning games and taking the lead in the division.

I thought Richardson was the only move they made this season?

So far yes but they did say everyone is on the block except for Thomas. Reports yesterday say the Niners are interested in Gordon.

Must admit we as Steeler fans have dished our share of smack over the years so let the Browns have there day. Cause when we get back on the winning path.. the Nation will rise and the Wanna b's will fall.

I just tell them "Roses are red, violets are blue. Byner's in the endzone, the ball is on the TWO!". Shuts them right up. If not, remind them of "The Drive".

Yeah, I`ve been getting an earfull all season long, and I`m sick of it, but what do ya expect?
They`ve been waiting for this chance, FOREVER!!!!
    If we weren`t 0-4, there`s a lot more I could respond with...
As is, I just basically tell them to enjoy it, it`s been a LOOOONNNGGG time coming, and it`s not gonna last.
Weeden`s back, and by the end of the year, they will be back at the bottom of the division, where they belong.
It also helps to remind them that they`ve only won about THREE of their last 20 games against us, they have NEVER even BEEN to a superbowl, let alone won SIX of them, and the only time they made the playoffs since they`ve been back, WE sent them home!
And, yes, I have also played the "you ain`t even the REAL Browns!" card, on them, and reminded them that THEIR team left their sorry asses in Cleveland, and went on to get to the Bowl, in BALTIMORE!:lolol:
Unfortunately, even tho that tends to shut them up, I still gotta deal with the fact that my beloved STEELERS haven`t even managed to win ONE single game, in their first four tries...
NEVER thought I would see the day...
Here`s hoping we start to turn it around against the Jets...
    Long road to go...
    GO STEELERS!!!
